About Morale Patches
Morale patches allow you to embellish your tactical equipment in the field and are self-confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like movie quotes, memes, funny sayings, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style differs and includes text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft groups, and military units usually have a team patch or patch set. Choose a standard group of patches including a couple of morale patches which represent your unit if you are a group leader. You can use these group patches for team acknowledgment, awards, accomplishments, and rank advances. It is an excellent method to build camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a couple of spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied groups.
Mission Specific Patches
Most special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft tournaments typically have their own patches. Unit members or players who use these patches have the prestige that comes from completing that task, operation, or mission. When the mission happened, Mission patches are a great way to highlight who participated.
Patch Attachment
Many morale patches connect to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is usually located on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the bag, uniform, or vest panel. Other kinds of patches consist of iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which warms up to adhere to the placement area. Sew-on patches must use heavy duty sewing machines and matching thread to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the manufacturer. The main front of the patch usually includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is generally a Velcro loop backing area.
About Tactical Embroidery Patch Morale Patches
Patches like the NASA Apollo XII 12 Lunar Moon Mission Tactical Embroidery Patch Hook & Loop Morale Patch Military Patch for Clothing Accessory Backpack Armband made by the Tactical Embroidery Patch typically hold up quite well. Make sure to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can try to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s life expectancy.
Morale Patch Care
It is a great idea to remove Velcro patches prior to cleaning given that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be tough on the patch. To clean detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the equipment.
