About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to embellish your tactical gear in the field and are team morale boosters. These patches are styled around things like film quotes, memes, amusing sayings, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style varies and includes text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical groups, airsoft groups, and military units generally have a team patch or patch set. Choose a basic group of patches including a few morale patches which represent your unit if you are a team leader. You can use these group patches for team acknowledgment, awards, achievements, and rank advancements. It is an excellent way to grow comradery within your unit. You can also keep a couple of spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Mission Specific Patches
Many special missions, military operations, or airsoft competitions generally have their own patches. Unit members or airsoft players who wear these patches have the status that originates from finishing that operation, mission, or assignment. Mission patches are a good way to highlight who attended when the mission happened.
Patch Attachment
Most morale patches attach to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is generally located on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the uniform, bag, or vest panel. Other kinds of patches consist of iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which warms up to adhere to the placement area. Sew-on patches should use heavy duty matching thread and sewing machines to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Kinds Of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the supplier. The main front of the patch generally includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is typically a Velcro loop backing panel.
About Tactical Embroidery Patch Morale Patches
Patches like the Medic Soldier Tactical Embroidery Patch Hook & Loop Morale Patch Military Patch for Clothing Accessory Backpack Armband made by the Tactical Embroidery Patch typically hold up quite well. Make sure to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can try to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s life.
Morale Patch Care
It is a great idea to take off Velcro patches before cleaning since the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To wash detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the equipment.
