About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to embellish your tactical gear in the field and are camaraderie boosters. These patches are styled around things like motion picture quotes, memes, amusing expressions, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style differs and includes text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical groups, airsoft groups, and military units generally have a team patch or patch set. Pick a standard group of patches including a couple of morale patches which represent your unit if you are a group leader. You can use these team patches for group recognition, awards, accomplishments, and rank advancements. It is a great way to grow comradery within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for exchanging patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Campaign Specific Patches
Many special missions, military operations, or airsoft competitions normally have their own patches. Unit members or players who use these patches have the reputation that originates from finishing that mission, assignment, or operation. Mission patches are an excellent way to highlight who attended when the mission occurred.
Morale Patch Attachment
Many morale patches attach to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is generally located on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the vest, uniform, or bag panel. Other types of patches include iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which heats up to adhere to the placement spot. Stitch-on patches should use sturdy sewing machines and matching thread to connect to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the producer. The primary front of the patch normally consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is usually a Velcro loop backing area.
About Tactical Embroidery Patch Morale Patches
Patches like the Viking Norse Runes Vegvisir Compass Tactical Embroidery Patch Hook & Loop Morale Patch Military Patch for Clothing Accessory Backpack Armband (red) made by the Tactical Embroidery Patch usually hold up quite well. Make sure to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can try to trim or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s lifespan.
Morale Patch Care
It is an excellent plan to take off Velcro patches before washing given that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be rough on the patch. To wash detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the gear.
