About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to embellish your tactical gear in the field and are self-confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like film quotes, memes, amusing phrases, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style differs and consists of text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical groups, airsoft groups, and military units typically have a team patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, select a basic group of patches consisting of a couple of morale patches which represent your squad. You can use these team patches for team acknowledgment, awards, accomplishments, and rank advancements. It is an excellent way to create camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied groups.
Mission Specific Patches
A lot of special missions, military operations, or airsoft competitions typically have their own patches. Unit members or game players who display these patches have the reputation that comes from completing that campaign, mission, or assignment. Mission patches are a great way to highlight who attended when the mission happened.
Patch Attachment
Many morale patches connect to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is normally located on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the uniform, vest, or bag panel. Other kinds of patches consist of iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which heats up to adhere to the placement area. Sew-on patches need to use strong matching thread and stitching machines to attach to a uniform or BDU blouse.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the producer. The main front of the patch generally includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is generally a Velcro loop backing.
About Tactical Embroidery Patch Morale Patches
Patches like the Marvel Shield Super Hero S.H.I.E.L.D. Marvel Avengers Logo Tactical Embroider Hook & Loop Morale Patch Military Patch for Clothing Accessory Backpack Armband (color2) made by the Tactical Embroidery Patch generally hold up pretty well. Ensure to trim any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can try to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s life. Anchoring a thread involves taking a needle and stitching the thread back into the material numerous times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
It is a good plan to remove Velcro patches before cleaning considering that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To clean detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the gear.
