About Morale Patches
Morale patches permit you to embellish your tactical gear in the field and are team morale boosters. These patches are styled around things like motion picture quotes, memes, funny expressions, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style differs and includes text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical groups, airsoft teams, and military units typically have a group patch or patch set. If you are a team leader, pick a basic group of patches including a few morale patches which represent your squad. You can use these team patches for team recognition, awards, accomplishments, and rank advances. It is an excellent way to create comradery within your unit. You can also keep a couple of spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Campaign Specific Patches
Many special missions, military operations, or airsoft tournaments generally have their own patches. Unit members or game players who display these patches have the prestige that comes from completing that campaign, mission, or task. Mission patches are an excellent way to highlight who attended when the mission happened.
Patch Attachment
Most morale patches attach to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Stitch-on patches should use heavy duty matching thread and sewing machines to attach the patch to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Kinds Of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the producer. The primary front of the patch typically consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is normally a Velcro loop backing area.
About Sum-elyn Morale Patches
Patches like the Sum-elyn Tactical Dragon Samurai Morale Patch for Backpack and Jackets Milspec Woven Label Embroidery Armband Pack made by the Sum-elyn normally hold up quite well. Make certain to trim any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can try to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s longevity. Anchoring a thread includes taking a needle and stitching the thread back into the material several times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
Most morale patches are machine washable. This includes any patches sewn onto uniforms or connected to equipment. It is a good idea to take off Velcro patches prior to cleaning given that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To wash detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the gear. Wash with warm soapy water, rub lightly, and pat the patch dry.
