About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Ydmpro Radio Pouch – 1000D Tactical Molle Adjustable Two Way Radios Holder Bag Case for Walkie Talkies is a tactical pouch. Most tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE pouches have just recently become popular in the last several years due to tactical developments and inventions. They are the top option for securing military style pouches to equipment, vests, deployment bags, and other kinds of equipment. MOLLE straps offer a flexible way for users to select the mounting location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location. The only limitation ends up being which pouches to put to use and where to position them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and refers to the pouches, panels, and straps which are employed in the MOLLE equipment system. Here are the three parts of the installing system: MOLLE straps, panels, and pouches. Mounting tactical pouches is quick and easy. Merely thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how the gear system works, let’s check out a few of the most functional MOLLE pouches you can put on your airsoft gear starting with airsoft gun mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in many various colors and camo patterns.
About the Ydmpro Brand
The Ydmpro brand is pretty highly-rated among airsoft players. They create excellent quality airsoft pouches and other gear. If you have concerns about their tactical gear or troubleshooting inquiries, you can find additional information on the brand’s business website.
Types of Ydmpro MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are essential to carry on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft weapon rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty basic in design. They are among the original styles of pouches developed to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for included security that is usually attached with Velcro. The flap might feature a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch style. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most economical methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the basic mag pouches with a couple of adjustments. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch style removes the flap leaving an open top to insert and take out magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility easier and clip swaps faster than ever, this style of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE straps so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Ydmpro brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag style use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized tension bands (depending upon producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps firmly hold the magazines so you don’t have to think about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Ydmpro MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches are available in similar designs to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which come in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a couple of basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines very well with this resilient Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most frequently used variations of pistol pouches. Many of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the exact same style.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all 6 independently (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) make a space for you to throw empty mags and other things into quickly. Some dump pouches even have drawstring closure tops for additional security while moving on the run with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK is an acronym meaning individual first aid kit and includes the medical gear airsoft players require when they have to patch up a gash or wound on the field. An emergency treatment pack should include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make a place for holding tools, folded maps, pens, and other field gear. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else usually. Think of things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own separate pouch), and other equipment you might require on the airsoft field or tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft teams put to use radios and communications devices on the field. Running a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
