WE Tactical Green Gas Full Metal M9 Long Barrel Pistol FPS-375 Blowback Airsoft Gun Package Deal (Mask, Green Gas and BBs)
Airsoft Pistol Product Features
This is a Green Gas Airsoft Pistol which means that it uses Green Gas as a propellant. It shoots hard and fast and is extremely lifelike. One feature many Green Gas Airsoft Guns have is blowback, meaning that as the BB is propelled forward the slide thrusts backward mimicking the kick of a real gun! This Green Gas Airsoft Pistol doesn’t require any pumping just simply point and shoot. This is a high end Green Gas Airsoft gun. Please only use .20 gram high quality BBs with this item in order to keep it in working order. Using anything else as ammunition for this gun will void the warranty and may cause it to jam. You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase this Airsoft gun. You will need to purchase Green Gas for this gun separately.
Info About the Kinds of Airsoft Handguns
Find information about airsoft handguns and sidearms and how you can use them as backup weapons or as core weapons on the airsoft playing field. A large number of airsoft handguns are completely accredited versions of their genuine handgun counterparts and run and look in the very same ways while shooting airsoft BBs instead of authentic bullets.
There are a few types of airsoft sidearms including CO2, propane or green gas (blowback and non-blowback), spring powered, and AEG automatic electric gun sidearms. Each of these types of handguns come with negatives and positives connected with them. Finding out about the types of airsoft pistols allows you to make a decision on which type is right for you and your airsoft game play style.
Details About CO2 Airsoft Sidearms
CO2 airsoft sidearms are one of the most long-lasting and common types of sidearms. These pistols use pressurized CO2 gas to send airsoft BBs out of the pistol barrel.
These kinds of airsoft pistols are good choices for playing in cold weather given that the compressed CO2 gas is stored in the sealed cylinders and less prone to performance decreases with temperature levels. This fact offers great FPS and shot consistency while playing airsoft in the winter for instance where other varieties of airsoft guns like green gas cease to work or hardly shoot airsoft BBs.
Additional Info About CO2 Gas and CO2 Cartridge Cylinders
CO2 airsoft pistols are powered by conventional 12 gram CO2 cartridge cylinders. These cartridges resemble a metal cylinder and contain high-pressure CO2 gas made up of 1 carbon atom and a couple of oxygen atoms, so the molecular formula of “C + O2 “. These atoms are bound in the following alignment “O= C =O”. The gas is kept in the 12 gram cartridge cylinders under really high pressure of approximately ~ 800psi that converts to 55bar.
The CO2 cartridge cylinders are not refillable and you can commonly purchase them in packs of 12, 20, 50, or 100 12 gram CO2 cartridges. They come sealed to keep the CO2 gas safely and securely inside, once they are punctured (firing them inside of an airsoft gun breaks the seal) they will begin to lose pressure if they are left unused. You need to try to use up the whole CO2 cartridge the same day you open the seal. Use the chance to do some pistol target practice and use up the rest of the additional gas if the airsoft matches end and you still have CO2 gas left. There is no gas level gauge on the cartridge so you have to shoot up until the gun stops shooting.
CO2 cartridges can be stored for a while if the cylinders are stored sealed. They are made with the supplier’s best used by date typically printed on the box or cylinder, but they can maintain pressure for an extended period past this date if the cartridge seals are not damaged.
Green Gas and Propane Airsoft Handgun Info
Green gas airsoft handguns resemble CO2 guns, however they do not use CO2 cartridges. Instead, they use green gas or propane gas for propellant to fire 6mm airsoft BBs. The outcome on gameplay and green gas handgun effectiveness is basically the same as CO2 handguns with the guns shooting up to 300+ feet per second (FPS). Shots are rapidly fired in fully-automatic or semi-automatic firing modes and precisely hit targets at very short to mid-range distances.
The propane gas is stored in the pistol’s airsoft mag that can normally hold between 15 to 20+ airsoft BBs based on the handgun model. A series of valves, rubber gaskets, and seals keep the gas pressurized in the magazine up until the pistol’s trigger is pulled.
When carrying a green gas sidearm on the airsoft field or arena as a primary or secondary weapon, bringing extra magazines is strongly recommended for rapidly reloading and engaging opponents. Having additional magazines on-hand helps you get back in the action in the middle of firefights or while clearing buildings in CQB (close quarters combat) room-to-room battles.
Green gas pistols are ideal for CQB at airsoft fields since long guns and full-sized AEGs are generally not permitted to be used for indoor engagements. This is an essential safety standard because of the close range proximity of players during shooting engagements and the potential for players to be hurt. While green gas handguns still shoot airsoft BBs at about 300 FPS, the short pistol barrel aids to keep the joules and energy shooting the BB at a decreased level compared to AEGs, airsoft rifles, sniper rifles, and long guns.
Thinking About Green Gas Blowback (GBB) VS Green Gas Non-blowback
There are two different styles of green gas airsoft pistols. There are green gas blowback handguns or GBBs. The green gas non-blowback airsoft pistols have a stationary slide which does not move.
About GBB and Green Gas Limitations
Because the green gas or propane gas is held in the handgun magazine using rubber seals, o-rings, and gaskets, cold temperatures can impact these gaskets and cause the gas to leak out before shooting the gun. The lack of pressure can make the airsoft BBs to only land a few feet away (like 10 feet in cold weather ) when the gun would normally shoot 6mm BBs over 100+ foot distances in warmer weather).
One option to fix this problem is to try to keep the GBB handgun mags warmer by putting them inside your jacket next to your body just before the airsoft game play. This can help to warm the seals, gaskets, and valves and better seal in the green gas. If you honestly prefer to have fun with a reliable airsoft pistol in the cold, it may also be better to get a CO2 variation of your favorite pistol. The CO2 cylinders come sealed and these guns shoot far better in sub-freezing conditions and while playing in the snow.
Details About Spring Airsoft Handguns
Spring airsoft handguns are powered by powerful springs that fire the BBs out of the handgun’s barrel. The manual functions of reloading, cocking, and firing spring handguns makes the fire rate much slower than CO2, green gas, and GBB guns.
Spring handguns work best in springer wars where airsoft players can only use similar, single shot spring handguns or as a close quarters backup gun for CQB buildings and MOUT sites when you can frequently quietly sneak up on other airsoft opponents to get a guaranteed one-shot-one-kill. In the latter scenario, a quick 2nd follow-up shot will not be required because the other opponent is now hit and out of the gameplay or moving back to respawn. Beware when engaging many different airsoft players given that the spring weapon only shoots as quick as you can re-chamber an airsoft BB manually.
About Spring Pistol Efficiency
Spring pistols are quite effective under the right game circumstances. Spring handguns can usually fire up to 120 feet or farther with 0.12 gram BBs but precision decreases rapidly.
AEG Automatic Electric Airsoft Pistols
AEG airsoft handguns or AEPs (automatic electric pistols) are also a viable option to bring into the field as a sidearm on the airsoft field. These automatic electric pistols are normally powered by mini stick batteries in the weapon’s handle. They work similar to an AEG rifle and use pressured air pumped through electrically cycled cylinders, pistons, and gearboxes to shoot airsoft BBs out of the barrel and very rapidly at that.
AEG pistol mags generally store about 20 to 30 airsoft BBs. The pistols can shoot airsoft BBs right up to about 300 FPS when loaded with 0.12 gram airsoft BBs or about 200 to 250 FPS when loaded with 0.20 gram airsoft BBs. The electrical gearbox system can shoot around 700+ BBs per minute assuming you have enough spare mags to reload the gun and the battery lasts that long. These AEP handguns can precisely fire airsoft BBs at around 150 foot distances.
AEG Pistol Quality and Efficiency
AEG pistol quality has actually grown substantially in the last few years. The early generation AEP guns were a little bit unreliable and questionable, however the latest designs have most of the deficiencies resolved and make effective airsoft secondary weapons. They can be modified with maximized magazine storage capacities along with accommodating larger batteries.
A large benefit of carrying an AEG handgun is that you have the power to rewire the battery connections to use a bigger battery. Depending on the AEG pistol type, you can get a large output in efficiency by employing a 2 cell Lipo battery (2S Lipo) as an alternative for the stock AEP battery.
What Airsoft Handgun is Best for Me to Play with?
If you have over one-hundred dollars to use to buy your airsoft handgun, you may want to consider a GBB pistol or AEG pistol. If you have around $50 to $100 to spend, check out a CO2 pistol or less expensive GBB pistol. If your gun budget is lower, you can still get a hold of a durable airsoft pistol to use for the pistol games.
