About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Water Bottle Bag, Bike Handlebar Bottle Bag Bicycle Bottle Pouch Water Bottle Holder Water Bottle Holster Bicycle Water Bottle Drink Holder with Drawstring for Camping, Climbing, Hiking, Travelling is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE pouches have recently ended up being popular in the last few years due to tactical innovations and inventions. They are the top choice for securing military style pouches to tactical gear, airsoft vests, deployment bags, and other types of equipment. MOLLE straps provide a unique way for users to pick the mounting location and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area. The only constraint becomes which pouches to adopt and where to put them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE is an acronym for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and describes the pouches, panels, and straps which are used in the MOLLE gear system. Here are the 3 parts of the mounting system: MOLLE panels, straps, and pouches. Installing tactical pouches is fast and simple. Merely thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how the system works, let’s have a look at some of the best MOLLE pouches you can put on your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in all colors and camouflage patterns. Common pouch colors consist of: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Typical pouch camouflage patterns consist of: woodland, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Take a look at the example swatches below for what they look like:
About the DONGKER Brand
The DONGKER brand is fairly well-known in the world of airsoft. They make outstanding quality airsoft pouches and other products. If you have concerns about their tactical gear or troubleshooting inquiries, you can find answers on the brand’s business website.
Types of DONGKER MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are essential to carry on your gear for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft weapon rifle magazines. These are also called ‘standard’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are pretty standard in design. They are among the initial designs of pouches designed to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is usually secured with Velcro. The flap might include a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch style. In addition to being offered from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most economical ways to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches resemble the standard mag pouches with a few enhancements. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design eliminates the flap leaving an open top to place and remove magazines. This allows for silent access and increased speed while accessing or refilling gun gear. These mag pouches can be available in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility simpler and reloads faster than ever, this style of tactical pouch uses MOLLE attachments so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The DONGKER brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use varying kinds of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized tension bands (depending on manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps firmly hold the magazines so you don’t need to worry about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
DONGKER MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches can be found in similar styles to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which come in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a couple of standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most typically found variations of handgun pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the very same design.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all 6 individually (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a clip retrieval pouches) make a space for you to discard empty magazines and other gear into rapidly. These tactical pouches are generally carried on your belt in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty magazines after reloads, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other tactical gear while on the airsoft field. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for extra closure security while moving with a pouch full of empty mags.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK is an acronym meaning individual first aid kit and contains the medical gear airsoft players require when they need to patch up a cut or wound on the field. A first aid kit should include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make a place for carrying a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, and other field supplies. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else normally. Think extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you might need on the airsoft field or in a tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft groups work with radios and communications devices on the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
