About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The TRIWONDER Tactical Cigarette Pouch Molle Small Military Bag Battery Cigarette Case EDC Utility Card Holder Lighter Slot Mini Cigar Waist Pack is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE pouches have recently ended up being popular in the last few years due to tactical developments and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top option for securing military style pouches to gear, vests, range bags, and other types of military equipment. MOLLE straps offer a unique method for users to choose the mounting area and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE attachment panel area. The only constraint becomes which pouches to utilize and where to position them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE represents Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and describes the pouches, panels, and straps which are managed in the MOLLE management system. Here are the three parts of the installing system: MOLLE straps, panels, and pouches. Mounting tactical pouches is simple and quick. All soldiers have to do is thread the straps and snap the buttons to set them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how the system works, let’s check out some of the best MOLLE pouches you can put on your airsoft equipment beginning with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches are available in all colors and camouflage patterns. Typical pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Typical pouch camouflage patterns consist of: forest, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Take a look at the example swatches below for what they look like:
About the TRIWONDER Brand
The TRIWONDER brand is fairly prominently known among airsoft players. They manufacture good quality airsoft pouches and other gear. You can find information on the brand’s site if you have questions about their airsoft pouches or consumer service questions.
Kinds Of TRIWONDER MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are also called ‘standard’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ because they are pretty standard in design. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is usually secured with Velcro. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are resilient and one of the most budget friendly ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the standard mag pouches with a couple of alterations. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch style eliminates the flap leaving an open top to place and take out magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility a lot easier and reloads faster than before, this design of tactical pouch uses MOLLE straps so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The TRIWONDER brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag design use varying types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized tension bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps firmly hold the magazines so you don’t need to think about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
TRIWONDER MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches are available in similar designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which are available in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes several standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines effectively with this long lasting Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most commonly seen versions of pistol pouches. A number of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same design. This consists of companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch designs are outstanding quality, functional, and are replicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over buying all six individually (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) create an area for you to ditch empty mags and other things into during fights. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for extra security while moving with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and contains the medical gear airsoft players require when they need to patch up a scrape or injury on the field. An emergency treatment pack should contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make space for carrying tools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field supplies. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else generally. Think of things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you might need on the airsoft field or in a tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft organizations employ radios and communications equipment on the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
