About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The TF TOURFUN First Aid Pouch EMT MOLLE Medical Bags Rip-Away IFAK Tactical Utility Pack Military Emergency Kit for Outdoor Activities Medical Supplies 1000D Nylon is a tactical pouch. Most tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE pouches have just recently ended up being popular in the last several years due to tactical developments and inventions. They are the top option for securing military style pouches to tactical gear, airsoft vests, range bags, and other types of field gear. MOLLE straps offer a flexible method for users to choose the mounting location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location. The only constraint ends up being which pouches to employ and where to position them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are used in the MOLLE gear system. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s look at some of the leading MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft gear starting with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches are available in all colors and camo patterns. Typical pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Common pouch camouflage patterns include: forest, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Take a look at the example swatches below for what they appear like:

The TF TOURFUN brand is quite well-known as a quality gear maker. They manufacture great quality airsoft equipment and other products. You can find answers on the brand’s website if you have questions about their airsoft gear or customer service questions.
Types of TF TOURFUN MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty standard in design. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is normally attached with Velcro. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are resilient and one of the most budget-friendly methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types are similar to the basic mag pouches with a few modifications. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch design removes the flap leaving an open top to put in and take out magazines. This allows for quiet access and increased speed while accessing or refilling weapon gear. These mag pouches can be found in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility a lot easier and reloads faster than ever, this design of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE connections so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The TF TOURFUN brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cords or rubberized bungee bands (depending upon producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard tug up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps firmly hold the magazines so you don’t have to be concerned about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
TF TOURFUN MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in similar designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which are available in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes several basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this durable Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most typically seen versions of handgun pouches. Most of the same manufacturers that make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same style. This includes companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch designs are excellent quality, functional, and are replicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all 6 independently (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) make a spot for you to throw empty mags and other gear into during gunfights. Some dump pouches also have drawstring closure tops for extra security while on the run with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK is an acronym for individual first aid kit and consists of the equipment airsoft players need when they have to patch up a cut or wound on the field. A first aid kit needs to contain the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create space for holding multitools, folded maps, pens, and other field items. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else generally. Think of things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own specific pouch), and other gear you may require on the airsoft field or tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft units carry communications and radios devices on the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
