About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The Tactical Molle Pouch Outdoor Sports Belt Waist Pack Bag Military Waist iPhone Gadget Money Pocket EDC Security Carry Case for Camping Hiking Mountaineering is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE pouches have just recently become popular in the last several years due to tactical innovations and inventions. They are the top choice for securing military style pouches to equipment, airsoft vests, deployment bags, and other kinds of equipment. MOLLE straps provide a unique method for users to pick the mounting area and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location. The only restriction ends up being which pouches to apply and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE means Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are put to use in the MOLLE gear system. Here are the three parts of the installing system: MOLLE straps, pouches, and panels. Installing tactical pouches is quick and easy. Simply thread the straps and snap the buttons to set them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s take a look at some of the best MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft equipment beginning with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches are available in all colors and camouflage patterns. Typical pouch colors consist of: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Typical pouch camouflage patterns consist of: woodland, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Take a look at the example swatches in the product description for what they look like:

Types of ofone MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty basic in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is typically secured with Velcro. In addition to being readily available from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most inexpensive methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are comparable to the standard mag pouches with a few alterations. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch design gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to insert and take out magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the newest and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are developed into the magazine pocket so that it holds the magazine tightly under tension. In order to make mag access easier and reloads faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE attachments so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch components are usually made of ABS materials.
The ofone brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag style use varying types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cords or rubberized stress bands (depending on producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps firmly hold the magazines so you do not have to be concerned about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
ofone MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches are available in related designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which are available in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes several standard pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this durable Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most typically chosen variations of handgun pouches. Most of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same style. This consists of companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch styles are exceptional quality, usable, and are reproduced by airsoft pouch companies.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all six separately (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a mag recovery pouches) create a spot for you to place empty mags and other things into quickly. These tactical pouches are usually held in a rolled up position and secured by a button or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to increase in size and hold empty magazines after you reload your airsoft gun, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other tactical gear while on the field. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for added security while moving with a pouch that is full.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and contains the equipment airsoft players need when they have to patch up a gash or wound on the field. An emergency treatment pack must include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create room for carrying tools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field gear. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else usually. Think of things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own special pouch), and other gear you might require on the airsoft field or tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft groups employ radios and communications equipment in the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
