About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Sports Water Bottles Pouch Bag Tactical Molle Water Bottle Pouch Military Drawstring Water Bottle Holder Mesh Water Bottle Carrier is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE pouches have just recently become popular in the last few years due to tactical innovations and inventions. They are the top choice for securing military design pouches to range gear, tactical vests, deployment bags, and other kinds of field gear. MOLLE straps offer a flexible method for users to pick the mounting area and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area. The only limitation becomes which pouches to apply and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE represents Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and refers to the pouches, panels, and straps which are put to use in the MOLLE gear system. Here are the three parts of the installing system: MOLLE pouches, straps, and panels. Mounting tactical pouches is easy and quick. Just thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how the system works, let’s have a look at a few of the most functional MOLLE pouches you can attach to your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of different colors and camo patterns.
About the MILITARY UNIFORMS Brand
The MILITARY UNIFORMS brand is pretty well-known in the world of airsoft. They produce great quality airsoft pouches and other products. You can find information on the brand’s website if you have concerns about their airsoft gear or consumer service questions.
Types of MILITARY UNIFORMS MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are also called ‘standard’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are pretty standard in design. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is normally fastened with Velcro. In addition to being available from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most cost effective methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types are similar to the basic mag pouches with a few adjustments. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch style gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to insert and extract magazines. This enables silent access and increased speed while reloading weapons or accessing gear. These mag pouches can be found in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility simpler and reloads faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE connections so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The MILITARY UNIFORMS brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag style use varying kinds of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized bungee bands (depending on manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps safely hold the magazines so you don’t have to be concerned about losing the mag during quick movements, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
MILITARY UNIFORMS MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Handgun Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches can be found in related designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which can be found in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a couple of standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this long lasting Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most commonly chosen versions of pistol pouches. Many of the same manufacturers that make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the same style. This consists of companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch designs are outstanding quality, functional, and are reproduced by airsoft pouch companies.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. A pair of mags are normally better than one. This pouch shows this to be accurate since it saves you cash from needing to purchase two separate pouches. For instance, the cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over buying all 6 independently (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines). Never ever buy pouches one at a time which you can get them grouped.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) make a space for you to dump empty mags and other things into rapidly. These tactical pouches are typically carried on tactical belts in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be rapidly unrolled to increase in size and hold empty clips after you reload your gun, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other equipment while in the airsoft field. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for added closure security while moving with a pouch that is full.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and includes the medical gear airsoft players need when they need to patch up a gash or wound on the field. An emergency treatment kit needs to contain the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create a place for carrying tools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field supplies. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else normally. Think spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you may require on the airsoft field or in a tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft groups work with communications and radios equipment in the field. Running a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
