Kinds Of QJang MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are pretty standard in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is typically fastened with Velcro. In addition to being available from many tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are resilient and one of the most inexpensive methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types are similar to the standard mag pouches with a couple of adjustments. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch design eliminates the flap leaving an open top to insert and take out magazines. This enables quiet access and increased speed while reloading weapons or accessing pouches. These mag pouches can be available in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the newest and most advanced kind of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are constructed into the magazine pocket so that it holds the magazine firmly under pressure. In order to make mag access easier and mag reloads faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE attachments so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch elements are typically made of ABS materials.
The QJang brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag design use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized bungee bands (depending on manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps firmly hold the magazines so you don’t have to be concerned about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
QJang MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches can be found in related styles to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which are available in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes several basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this long lasting Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most typically used variations of handgun pouches. Many of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same design.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. A pair of magazines are typically far better than one. This pouch shows this to be accurate given that it saves you money from having to buy two separate pouches. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all six individually (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never ever buy pouches separately when you can get them together.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a mag collection pouches) make a space for you to discard empty mags and other gear into quickly. These tactical pouches are generally carried on your belt in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty mags after reloads, extra airsoft BBs/shells, and other equipment while on the airsoft field. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for extra security while moving with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and includes the medical gear airsoft players require when they have to patch up a cut or wound on the field. An emergency treatment pack needs to include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make space for carrying multitools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field items. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else normally. Think extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own separate pouch), and other gear you might need on the airsoft field or tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Many airsoft organizations carry communications and radios equipment in the field. Adopting a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
