About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The ProCase Tactical Admin Pouch Versatile Molle Admin Pouch EDC Carry Bag Multi-Purpose Tool Holder Bundle with Compact EDC Military Admin Utility Gadget Waist Bag is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE pouches have just recently ended up being popular in the last few years due to tactical developments and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top choice for securing military style pouches to military gear, vests, range bags, and other types of equipment. MOLLE straps provide a flexible method for users to pick the mounting location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel location. The only restriction ends up being which pouches to manage and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are adopted in the MOLLE gear system. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s look at some of the most effective MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft gear starting with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches can be found in all colors and camo patterns. Typical pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Typical pouch camouflage patterns consist of: forest, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Have a look at the example swatches below for what they appear like:
About the ProCase Brand
The ProCase brand is quite widely known among airsoft players. They manufacture excellent quality airsoft pouches and other products. You can find answers on the brand’s website if you have concerns about their airsoft gear or client service questions.
Types of ProCase MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are also called ‘standard’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are quite basic in design. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is usually fastened with Velcro. In addition to being readily available from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are resilient and one of the most affordable ways to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are comparable to the standard mag pouches with a couple of alterations. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch design gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to place and take out magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility simpler and reloads faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch uses MOLLE connections so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The ProCase brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cords or rubberized bungee bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard tug up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps safely hold the magazines so you don’t have to be concerned about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
ProCase MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches are available in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which are available in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a couple of basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this durable Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most commonly found variations of handgun pouches. Many of the same companies that make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same design. This includes manufacturers like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch styles are exceptional quality, functional, and are replicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. Two is normally better than one. This pouch proves this to be correct because it saves you cash from having to buy two separate pouches. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all six individually (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines). Never buy pouches individually which you can get them grouped.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) create a space for you to ditch empty mags and other things into during gunfights. Some dump pouches even have drawstring closure tops for additional security while on the run with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK is an acronym for individual first aid kit and includes the equipment airsoft players require when they need to patch up a cut or injury on the field. An emergency treatment kit should contain the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create a place for carrying a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, and other field gear. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else usually. Think extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other gear you might require on the airsoft field or tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft units work with communications and radios devices in the field. Adopting a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radio handsets like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
