About Tactical Vests
The Outdoor Sports Airsoft Gear Molle Pouch Bag Carrier Camouflage Combat Assault Molle Vest Tactical Chest Rig by Sunny works well for airsoft. Airsoft vests, plate carriers, and tactical loadout equipment are standard for holding equipment on the airsoft field. These carriers and vests make it simple for team players to keep control of their equipment and quickly get around the combat zone while having the right gear they need to win more objectives. They also have a tacticool operator status appeal to them and shield team player’s bodies from inbound airsoft BBs.
Airsoft tactical vests typically have numerous pockets, pouches, and MOLLE attachment panels. Some frequently identified items in a standard airsoft tactical vest loadout include the following: Extra airsoft weapon magazines, sidearms like shotguns or handguns, extra airsoft BBs, red rags, protein bars, drinking water , communications gear, gun service sets, and multitools and knives.
Sunny Vest Protection Levels
Tactical airsoft vests like the Outdoor Sports Airsoft Gear Molle Pouch Bag Carrier Camouflage Combat Assault Molle Vest Tactical Chest Rig offer a few layers of extra fabric to assist in cushioning the impact of incoming airsoft BBs. Some vests have more than others and some vests feature plastic armor plates or ABS plastic scales. These airsoft vests have additional padding and shielding, but practically every vest will offer some shielding from incoming airsoft BBs.
One challenge experienced by using thick vests with rows of magazine pouches and a lot of equipment attached to them is that team players can not feel their hits well. In these cases, team players should listen for their hits and call themselves out if their vest or equipment is struck by incoming airsoft BBs. Players should follow the airsoft field or game rules.
Types of Sunny Airsoft Vests
There are several different types of vests and load-bearing equipment put to use in airsoft. As a definition, an airsoft vest is a general term used to refer to anything team players tactically wear on the upper half of their bodies and holds airsoft gear. Keep in mind there are distinct styles of airsoft vests and they are different yet comparable. Each vest offers separate advantages and downsides depending on what airsoft team players require or are specifically searching for in their gear.
The airsoft vest types consist of pre-made tactical airsoft vests, tactical MOLLE vest platforms, airsoft plate carriers and armor holders, modular chest rigs and tactical half vests, and tactical load-bearing vests (LBV). The Sunny Outdoor Sports Airsoft Gear Molle Pouch Bag Carrier Camouflage Combat Assault Molle Vest Tactical Chest Rig falls into one of these categories. Learn about the types below.
Pre-Made Tactical Airsoft Vests
Pre-made airsoft vests are one of the most basic kinds of airsoft vests. These vests come ready-to-play out of the box and are also some of the cheaper vests offered while still maintaining good quality and toughness.
These vests are immediately usable and come with sewn in magazine pouches, pouches which hold airsoft BBs, and other pockets. With pre-made vests, players can often connect a U.S. GI military web belt to the bottom of the vest.
Sturdiness of Pre-Made Vests
Since these airsoft vests are factory constructed, they are very well made with durable stitching and will normally last for a very long time. We have seen a few of these vests worn for so long the colors start to fade, but they still serve their equipment carrying function. Many airsoft team players start out with a version of these vests, sell it later, and upgrade to a more custom vest choice.
Pre-Made Vest Models and Types
Look for the right kind of pre-made vest you need. Some have integrated magazine pouches for AR-15/ M4 magazines while others have AK-47 magazine sizing. Make sure the vest you are purchasing will work for holding your particular airsoft weapon type magazines. Various styles of pre-made airsoft vests are also readily available. They feature the following. Magazine carrier vest setups which include 6x AK-47 to 12x M4 magazine slots (depending on size of magazine inserted). Cross-draw pistol holster combinations with a 3x or 6x magazine pouch on the opposite side. Rifle shotgun tactical vest pouch setups with shotgun shell loops inside pouches. EOD vests (explosives ordnance detection) with many admin pouches. Grenadier vests with numerous grenade pockets for M203 shells.
Airsoft MOLLE Tactical Vests
A more adjustable and advanced airsoft vest is the tactical MOLLE airsoft vest style. These modular vests allow each pouch to be transferred and placed independently based on the particular set up airsoft game players and tactical operators need.
The personalized appearance and feel of MOLLE airsoft vests are great. However, the tactical vest platform and pouches are generally offered independently or in kits that makes them more highly-priced than pre-made airsoft vests. A standard MOLLE vest can be costly with the pouches costs increasing the expense. A fully filled MOLLE tactical loadout can cost hundreds of dollars depending on the number of pouches and different types of MOLLE pouches are acquired. If you have indeed chosen to go the MOLLE vest route, see if you can pick MOLLE pouch sets to get your loadout set up.
Airsoft Versus Real World MOLLE Gear
When shopping for MOLLE vests, remember airsoft companies make replicas of real military tactical vests. These airsoft knock-off pouches and vests run a fraction of the prices of the real equipment used by armed forces, Special Forces (like Rangers, Naval Special Warfare Development ‘Dev Group’, and MARSOC) and other unique ops teams.
How MOLLE Accessories Work
The three parts of the system are MOLLE pouches, straps, and panels which are put together to develop the MOLLE airsoft loadout. MOLLE panels are the base found on airsoft vests. The MOLLE pouches have a MOLLE loop panel on the back of the pouch which enables straps to be tightly connected to MOLLE panel loops.
Putting Your Kit Together
The entire MOLLE system comes together as operators pick the pouches they require for an airsoft vest loadout or tournament, weave the MOLLE straps through the loops on the pouches and vest panels, and secure the snaps on the straps to keep the pouches in place. The end result is an extremely personalized airsoft vest with the style and feel of operator status.
Airsoft Tactical Vest Plate Carriers
Airsoft tactical vest plate carriers look like basic MOLLE vests and numerous MOLLE vests also have plate carrier compartments and capabilities. This makes it practical to change and run MOLLE pouches in between vest plate carriers and basic MOLLE vests These tactical vests have internal pouches to hold real or replica ballistic level III3A plates or rifle plates. When dealing with the possibility of real bullets, special operations fireteams in the military and law enforcement SWAT units will regularly operate these kinds of tactical plate carriers for added security. Airsoft participants run these plate carrier vests for an included coolness component and can even run real or imitation ballistic plates and panels to simulate a functional loadout or war kit. IDEA: Do not select genuine rifle ballistic plates in your airsoft plate carrier vest unless you desire a workout! These rifle plates can weigh over +20 pounds for a set!
Airsoft Modular Chest Rigs and Slicks
Tactical modular chest rig vests generally just have front and back panels that can hold body armor plates. They look like plate carrier vests and similarly have MOLLE panels on the front and back for MOLLE pouches. These tactical vests are varied from MOLLE vests due to the fact that they are more low-profile and can be used over or under other clothes like coats, uniforms, vests, and bulky garments relatively easily. The side straps on modular chest rigs also readjust more than basic plate carrier vests. Slicks are basically modular chest rig vests however without the MOLLE attachments which makes them smooth or slick. These kinds of airsoft vests are less practical for carrying equipment considering that they do not have pouches. They are typically used for props as civilian role players or uniform builds for a specific period modeled after a famous military unit that employed them like the Navy Seals.
Tactical Half Vests and Gunfighter Harnesses
Airsoft half vests or gunfighter vests fall under this vest category. Half vests are half of a vest with a row of internal pouches in the front. They come in handy to employ and can be worn efficiently in the course of a gun fight hence the name. They generally have capacities for 6 M4 magazines in the front (or similarly sized weapon magazines) with MOLLE or taco pouches in the front for pistol magazines, utility pouches, medical equipment, and other add-on pouches. The harness is held in position by a set of shoulder straps and the back of the vest is open. This kind of airsoft vest can even be used over top of other types of gear and vests.
Tactical Load-Bearing Vests (LBVs)
Tactical load-bearing vests are a few of the most traditional vests to employ for airsoft. These vest designs were employed throughout conflicts like Vietnam and Desert Storm. They hold a location in military history and now are used on loads of airsoft battlefields. These airsoft tactical vests feature 6 integrated M4 magazine pouches with 2 smaller grenade pouches. They have loops to attach a U.S. G.I. web belt where airsoft players can add more pouches and ammo dump bags if required. The back of the vest has connections for a buttpack. The vest straps for the shoulders and sides adjust to big and little-sized airsoft game players which make this vest definitely flexible.
