About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The OneTigris Horizontal Multi-Purpose Pouch with Front Loop Surface and Hook-Backed Webbing is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE pouches have recently ended up being popular in the last few years due to tactical innovations and inventions. They are the top choice for securing military style pouches to tactical gear, vests, deployment bags, and other types of military equipment. MOLLE straps provide a unique way for users to select the mounting place and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location. The only restriction ends up being which pouches to apply and where to put them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE is an acronym meaning Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are employed in the MOLLE management system. Here are the three parts of the installing system: MOLLE panels, pouches, and straps. Installing tactical pouches is easy and fast. Merely thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how the system works, let’s take a look at a few of the most functional MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft equipment beginning with airsoft weapon mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches can be found in all colors and camo patterns. Typical pouch colors consist of: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Common pouch camouflage patterns consist of: woodland, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Take a look at the example swatches in the product description for what they look like:
About the OneTigris Brand
The OneTigris brand is fairly popular in the world of airsoft. They make outstanding quality airsoft pouches and other products. You can find answers on the brand’s website if you have concerns about their airsoft pouches or consumer service questions.
Types of OneTigris MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are quite standard in design. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is generally secured with Velcro. In addition to being available from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are long lasting and one of the most budget friendly ways to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types are similar to the basic mag pouches with a few alterations. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design removes the flap leaving an open top to insert and extract magazines. This allows silent access and increased speed while accessing or reloading weapon gear. These mag pouches can come in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility simpler and reloads faster than before, this design of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE connections so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The OneTigris brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized bungee bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard tug up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps securely hold the magazines so you do not have to think about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
OneTigris MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches can be found in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which can be found in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of standard pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines effectively with this long lasting Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most commonly chosen versions of handgun pouches. A number of the same manufacturers that make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the exact same design. This includes companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch designs are outstanding quality, functional, and are reproduced by airsoft pouch companies.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch featuring both a rifle and handgun magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all six independently (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) make an area for you to throw empty mags and other things into rapidly. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for additional security while on the run with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK stands for individual first aid kit and contains the equipment airsoft players require when they have to patch up a scrape or wound on the field. An emergency treatment kit must contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make room for holding multitools, folded maps, pens, and other field items. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else usually. You can carry things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own separate pouch), and other gear you might need on the airsoft field or tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft units use communications and radios equipment in the field. Running a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
