About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The LBX TACTICAL Med Kit Blow-Out Pouch Wolf Grey – LBX-0065WG is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches attach with MOLLE webbing straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE straps supply a versatile method for users to pick the installation area and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE accessory panel location.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and refers to the pouches, panels, and straps which are put to use in the MOLLE equipment system. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out some of the most effective MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft equipment beginning with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in many different colors and camouflage patterns.
About the LBX TACTICAL Brand
The LBX TACTICAL brand is quite well-known among airsoft players. They create fairly good quality airsoft equipment and other products. You can find answers on the brand’s website if you have questions about their airsoft pouches or client service questions.
Types of LBX TACTICAL MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are important to carry on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ because they are pretty basic in style. They are one of the initial styles of pouches developed to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is generally secured with Velcro. The flap could feature a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch style. In addition to being offered from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most affordable methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches resemble the basic mag pouches with a couple of modifications. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch design eliminates the flap leaving an open top to put in and take out magazines. This allows for quiet access and increased speed while reloading guns or accessing pouches. These mag pouches can be found in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are constructed into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine firmly under stretchy bungees. In order to make mag accessibility simpler and reloads faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch uses MOLLE accessories so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch elements are typically made of ABS construction.
The LBX TACTICAL brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag style use differing kinds of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized bungee bands (depending on producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard tug up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps safely hold the magazines so you do not have to be concerned about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
LBX TACTICAL MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in related designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which come in the standard style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this resilient Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most commonly chosen versions of pistol pouches. A lot of the same manufacturers that make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the same style. This includes manufacturers like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch styles are excellent quality, usable, and are replicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all six separately (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a clip retrieval pouches) create a space for you to dump empty magazines and other things into quickly during firefights. These tactical pouches are typically held in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty mags after you reload your airsoft rifle, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other equipment while in the airsoft field. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for added security while moving with a pouch full of empty mags.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and includes the equipment airsoft players need when they need to patch up a cut or injury on the field. An emergency treatment kit must include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make room for carrying multitools, folded maps, pens, and other field supplies. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else usually. Think spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own special pouch), and other equipment you might require on the airsoft field or in a tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft organizations use communications and radios equipment on the field. Adopting a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
