About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The LA Police Gear Tactical Nylon H2O Bottle Pouch is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop design attachments. MOLLE pouches have just recently become popular in the last few years due to tactical innovations and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top option for securing military design pouches to gear, airsoft vests, range bags, and other kinds of military equipment. MOLLE straps offer a unique way for users to select the mounting area and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area. The only constraint becomes which pouches to put to use and where to put them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE is an acronym for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are put to use in the MOLLE management system. Here are the 3 parts of the mounting system: MOLLE straps, panels, and pouches. Mounting tactical pouches is quick and simple. Simply thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how the gear system works, let’s take a look at a few of the best MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of different colors and camo patterns.

Types of LA Police Gear MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are necessary to have on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are pretty basic in design. They are among the original styles of pouches created to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is usually attached with Velcro. The flap might feature a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch style. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most budget-friendly ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are comparable to the basic mag pouches with a few alterations. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch design gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to insert and remove magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are built into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine tightly under pressure. In order to make mag access easier and reloads faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE accessories so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch parts are usually made from ABS construction.
The LA Police Gear brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use differing kinds of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized stress bands (depending upon maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps safely hold the magazines so you do not have to be concerned about losing the mag during fast movements, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
LA Police Gear MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches can be found in related designs to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which can be found in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines effectively with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most typically used variations of handgun pouches. A lot of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the very same design.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over buying all 6 independently (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) create a spot for you to dump empty magazines and other gear into quickly in the field. These tactical pouches are usually carried on tactical belts in a rolled up position and secured by a button or strap. The pouch can be rapidly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty magazines after you reload your gun, extra airsoft BBs/shells, and other tactical gear while in the airsoft field. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for added security while moving with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK stands for individual first aid kit and contains the equipment airsoft players require when they need to patch up a gash or injury on the field. An emergency treatment kit needs to include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make space for holding a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, and other field supplies. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else normally. You can carry things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own specific pouch), and other gear you may need on the airsoft field or in a tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft organizations work with radios and communications equipment in the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
