About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The Kizlyar OK0176 AMP1 Accessory Pouch, Black is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE pouches have recently ended up being popular in the last few years due to tactical developments and inventions. They are the top option for securing military style pouches to gear, airsoft vests, range bags, and other types of equipment. MOLLE straps offer a flexible method for users to pick the mounting location and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area. The only restriction ends up being which pouches to adopt and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are utilized in the MOLLE equipment system. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s look at some of the leading MOLLE pouches you can put on your airsoft gear starting with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of various colors and camouflage patterns.

Kinds Of Kizlyar MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are essential to carry on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty standard in design. They are one of the original styles of pouches designed to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for included security that is normally fastened with Velcro. The flap could feature a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch design. In addition to being offered from many tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most inexpensive methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types are similar to the standard mag pouches with a few adjustments. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to place and extract magazines. This allows quiet access and increased speed while accessing or reloading weapon pouches. These mag pouches can come in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most advanced kind of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are constructed into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine securely under pressure. In order to make mag accessibility easier and magazine reloads faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch uses MOLLE accessories so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch parts are generally made of ABS construction.
The Kizlyar brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized bungee bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps safely hold the magazines so you do not have to think about losing the mag during quick movements, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Kizlyar MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which can be found in the basic style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a couple of standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines effectively with this long lasting Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most commonly used variations of pistol pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the same style.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and handgun magazine. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over buying all six separately (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a mag recovery pouches) make a spot for you to place empty magazines and other gear into quickly during battle. These tactical pouches are normally carried on your belt in a rolled up position and secured by a button or strap. The pouch can be rapidly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty mags after reloads, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other tactical gear while on the airsoft field. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for extra closure security while moving with a pouch full of empty mags.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK stands for individual first aid kit and consists of the medical gear airsoft players require when they need to patch up a cut or wound on the field. A first aid pack needs to contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create room for carrying a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field items. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else generally. Think spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other gear you may need on the airsoft field or in a tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft groups use communications and radios equipment on the field. Applying a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
