About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The KEYPOWER Outdoor Tactical Holster Military Molle Hip Waist Belt Bag Wallet Pouch Purse Phone Case for Compact Subcompact Pistols Guns Concealed Carry Waist Pack/Holster is a tactical pouch. The majority of tactical pouches attach with MOLLE webbing straps and hook-and-loop design accessories. MOLLE straps provide a versatile way for users to choose the mounting location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE is an acronym for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are adopted in the MOLLE equipment system. Here are the three parts of the mounting system: MOLLE panels, straps, and pouches. Mounting tactical pouches is simple and quick. All you have to do is thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how the gear system works, let’s check out a few of the most efficient MOLLE pouches you can put on your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in many various colors and camo patterns.

Kinds Of KEYPOWER MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are essential to have on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ because they are pretty standard in style. They are one of the original designs of pouches developed to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is normally fastened with Velcro. The flap could include a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch style. In addition to being available from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most cost effective ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches resemble the basic mag pouches with a couple of modifications. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch design gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to put in and take out magazines. This allows quiet access and increased speed while reloading weapons or accessing pouches. These mag pouches can be available in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the newest and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are developed into the magazine pocket so that it holds the magazine tightly under stretchy bungees. In order to make mag accessibility simpler and reloads faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch uses MOLLE accessories so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch parts are usually made of ABS construction.
The KEYPOWER brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag design use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized bungee bands (depending upon maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps firmly hold the magazines so you don’t have to be concerned about losing the mag during quick movements, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
KEYPOWER MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches come in similar styles to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which come in the basic style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few standard pistol pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines very well with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most typically found versions of handgun pouches. Many of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same design.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all six independently (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) create an area for you to throw empty mags and other gear into during gunfights. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for additional security while moving with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and includes the medical gear airsoft players need when they need to patch up a scrape or wound on the field. An emergency treatment pack needs to contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create a place for carrying tools, folded maps, pens, and other field gear. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else normally. Think extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own special pouch), and other gear you might require on the airsoft field or in a tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft teams employ radios and communications equipment on the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
