About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The KD Tactical Elite Molle Admin Pouch | Military Grade EDC Utility Bag and Vest Attachment | Water-Resistant Modular Zipper Multi-Purpose Layout | Organize EMT Medic Tool Hiking Airsoft is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE pouches have recently ended up being popular in the last few years due to tactical developments and inventions. They are the top option for securing military style pouches to gear, airsoft vests, deployment bags, and other kinds of military equipment. MOLLE straps provide a unique way for users to select the mounting place and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area. The only restriction ends up being which pouches to employ and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are applied in the MOLLE gear system. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s look at some of the leading MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in many different colors and camo patterns.

Types of KD Tactical MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ because they are pretty standard in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is normally secured with Velcro. In addition to being available from many tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are long lasting and one of the most budget-friendly ways to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types resemble the standard mag pouches with a couple of adjustments. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch design eliminates the flap leaving an open top to insert and take out magazines. This enables quiet access and increased speed while accessing or refilling weapon equipment. These mag pouches can be available in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility a lot easier and clip swaps faster than before, this design of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE straps so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The KD Tactical brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag design use differing kinds of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized tension bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps firmly hold the magazines so you don’t have to think about losing the mag during quick movements, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
KD Tactical MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in similar designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which are available in the basic style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a couple of standard pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines effectively with this long lasting Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most typically used variations of pistol pouches. A lot of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same style.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. A pair of mags are typically better than one. This pouch proves this to be true since it saves you cash from needing to purchase two pouches. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all 6 separately (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines). Never ever purchase pouches separately which you can get them as a group.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) make a spot for you to discard empty mags and other things into during fights. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for extra security while moving with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK is an acronym for individual first aid kit and contains the medical gear airsoft players require when they have to patch up a gash or wound on the field. An emergency treatment pack needs to contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make a place for holding tools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field gear. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else generally. Think spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own unique pouch), and other gear you may require on the airsoft field or in a tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft units carry radios and communications equipment on the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
