About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The JASLITE Water Bottle Pouch, Upgraded 1000D Nylon Tactical Military MOLLE H2O Pouch Bottle Holder Hydration Carrier,Detachable Shoulder Strap for Backpack Camping Travel Outdoor Activities is a tactical pouch. The majority of tactical pouches connect with MOLLE snap straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE straps offer a versatile way for users to select the mounting area and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are applied in the MOLLE gear system. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out some of the best MOLLE pouches you can put on your airsoft gear starting with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of various colors and camouflage patterns.
About the JASLITE Brand
The JASLITE brand is fairly widely known as a quality brand. They make decent quality airsoft equipment and other gear. You can find answers on the brand’s site if you have concerns about their airsoft pouches or consumer service questions.
Types of JASLITE MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are essential to have on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft weapon rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are pretty basic in style. They are one of the original designs of pouches developed to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for included security that is normally secured with Velcro. The flap could include a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch style. In addition to being available from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most budget friendly ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the standard mag pouches with a couple of modifications. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch style gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to insert and take out magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the newest and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility easier and reloads faster than before, this style of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE connections so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The JASLITE brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use varying kinds of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cords or rubberized tension bands (depending upon producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps firmly hold the magazines so you do not need to be concerned about losing the mag during quick movements, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
JASLITE MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Pistol Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches come in similar designs to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which are available in the standard style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most commonly found variations of handgun pouches. Many of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same style.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. A pair of magazines are typically better than one. This pouch proves this to be accurate since it saves you cash from having to buy two separate pouches. As an example, the cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all 6 separately (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never buy pouches individually which you can get them grouped.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) make a spot for you to ditch empty magazines and other gear into during fights. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for additional security while moving on the run with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and contains the medical gear airsoft players need when they need to patch up a gash or injury on the field. An emergency treatment kit should contain the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make space for carrying a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, and other field supplies. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else normally. Think extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own separate pouch), and other equipment you may require on the airsoft field or in a tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft units manage radios and communications equipment in the field. Adopting a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
