About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The IDOGEAR Tactical Pouch MK2 Helmet Counterweight Battery Pouch NVG Battery Carrier Universal Accessory Bag for Airsoft Hunting Outdoor Sports is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop design attachments. MOLLE pouches have recently ended up being popular in the last few years due to tactical innovations and inventions. They are the top choice for securing military style pouches to military gear, tactical vests, deployment bags, and other types of equipment. MOLLE straps provide a unique way for users to choose the mounting location and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE attachment panel area. The only limitation ends up being which pouches to use and where to put them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE represents Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are employed in the MOLLE gear system. Here are the three parts of the mounting system: MOLLE panels, straps, and pouches. Mounting tactical pouches is quick and simple. All soldiers have to do is thread the straps and snap the buttons to set them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how the attachment system works, let’s have a look at some of the most functional MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft gun mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of various colors and camouflage patterns.

The IDOGEAR brand is pretty prominently known in the world of airsoft. They produce fairly good quality airsoft equipment and other products. You can find information on the brand’s site if you have concerns about their airsoft pouches or consumer service questions.
Kinds Of IDOGEAR MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are quite standard in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is generally fastened with Velcro. In addition to being available from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are resilient and one of the most budget friendly methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are comparable to the standard mag pouches with a few differences. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch style gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to place and take out magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access a lot easier and reloads faster than before, this design of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE connections so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The IDOGEAR brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized stress bands (depending on producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps safely hold the magazines so you do not need to worry about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
IDOGEAR MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches come in similar styles to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which come in the standard style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a couple of standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines effectively with this durable Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most commonly used variations of handgun pouches. Many of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same design.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. A pair of magazines are generally far better than one. This pouch proves this to be true since it saves you cash from having to buy a pair of pouches. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all 6 independently (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines). Never buy pouches individually when you can get them as a group.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a clip retrieval pouches) create a space for you to place empty magazines and other things into quickly. These tactical pouches are usually carried on tactical belts in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty clips after reloads, extra airsoft BBs/shells, and other equipment while on the battlefield. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for added closure security while moving with a pouch full of empty handgun clips.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK is an acronym meaning individual first aid kit and contains the equipment airsoft players require when they have to patch up a scrape or injury on the field. A first aid kit must contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create room for carrying multitools, folded maps, pens, and other field items. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else usually. You can carry things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own special pouch), and other equipment you might need on the airsoft field or in a tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft teams work with radios and communications equipment on the field. Running a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radio handsets like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
