About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The IDOGEAR Tactical MOLLE EMT Pouch Medical Pouch First Aid IFAK Utility Pouch Airsoft Hunting EDC Med Bag 500D Nylon (Pouch Only) is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE pouches have recently become popular in the last several years due to tactical developments and inventions. They are the top option for securing military design pouches to tactical gear, vests, deployment bags, and other types of equipment. MOLLE straps offer a flexible way for users to choose the mounting place and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel location. The only restriction ends up being which pouches to employ and where to position them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE represents Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are applied in the MOLLE gear system. Here are the 3 parts of the installing system: MOLLE pouches, straps, and panels. Installing tactical pouches is fast and easy. Simply thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s have a look at a few of the most efficient MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches can be found in all colors and camouflage patterns. Common pouch colors consist of: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Common pouch camouflage patterns consist of: forest, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Check out the example swatches in the product description for what they look like:
About the IDOGEAR Brand
The IDOGEAR brand is quite prominently known in the world of airsoft. They produce pretty good quality airsoft equipment and other gear. If you have questions about their tactical pouches or troubleshooting inquiries, you can find more information on the brand’s business website.
Types of IDOGEAR MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are important to have on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ because they are pretty basic in design. They are one of the original styles of pouches created to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is generally attached with Velcro. The flap might feature a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch style. In addition to being available from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most inexpensive ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the basic mag pouches with a couple of differences. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch style removes the flap leaving an open top to place and take out magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility simpler and reloads faster than before, this style of tactical pouch uses MOLLE connections so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The IDOGEAR brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag design use varying kinds of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized stress bands (depending on manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps safely hold the magazines so you do not need to be concerned about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
IDOGEAR MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Pistol Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches can be found in related designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which can be found in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this resilient Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most typically seen versions of pistol pouches. A lot of the same companies that make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the exact same style. This consists of companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch designs are excellent quality, usable, and are reproduced by airsoft pouch companies.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. A pair of magazines are generally better than one. This pouch shows this to be accurate considering that it saves you cash from having to buy two separate pouches. For instance, the expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all six separately (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never ever purchase pouches individually which you can get them together.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a mag retrieval pouches) create a spot for you to discard empty magazines and other gear into rapidly. These tactical pouches are normally carried in a rolled up position and secured by a button or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty mags after you reload your airsoft rifle, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other equipment while on the airsoft field. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for added closure security while moving with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and includes the equipment airsoft players require when they have to patch up a gash or wound on the field. An emergency treatment kit needs to include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create room for carrying multitools, folded maps, pens, and other field gear. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else usually. Think of things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other gear you might require on the airsoft field or in a tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Many airsoft organizations manage radios and communications equipment in the field. Applying a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
