Kinds Of IDOGEAR MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty standard in design. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is usually fastened with Velcro. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are long lasting and one of the most inexpensive methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the standard mag pouches with a few modifications. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch style eliminates the flap leaving an open top to put in and extract magazines. This enables silent access and increased speed while accessing or swapping gun pouches. These mag pouches can be found in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are built into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine tightly under tension. In order to make mag accessibility easier and mag swaps faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE accessories so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch components are usually made of ABS materials.
The IDOGEAR brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag design use varying types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cords or rubberized stress bands (depending upon producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps firmly hold the magazines so you do not have to be concerned about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
IDOGEAR MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches are available in similar designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which can be found in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes several basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines effectively with this resilient Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most frequently found variations of handgun pouches. Many of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same style.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and handgun magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all six independently (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine collection pouches) make a space for you to throw empty magazines and other gear into rapidly. These tactical pouches are generally carried on tactical belts in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be rapidly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty mags after you reload your airsoft gun, extra airsoft BBs/shells, and other tactical gear while on the battlefield. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for added security while moving with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK stands for individual first aid kit and includes the medical gear airsoft players need when they have to patch up a gash or wound on the field. An emergency treatment kit must include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create space for holding tools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field items. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else usually. You can carry things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you might require on the airsoft field or in a tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft teams manage radios and communications devices in the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
