About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The GUGULUZA MOLLE Rifle Ammo Bag 6 Rounds 12/16ga Tactical Shotshell Pouch Holder Foldable Shotgun Reload Ammo Mag Bag Cartridge Carrier Case(6 Rounds) is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE pouches have recently become popular in the last several years due to tactical innovations and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top choice for securing military style pouches to tactical gear, tactical vests, range bags, and other types of field gear. MOLLE straps offer a unique method for users to choose the mounting place and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location. The only limitation ends up being which pouches to apply and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are put to use in the MOLLE gear system. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out some of the best MOLLE pouches you can put on your airsoft gear starting with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches are available in all colors and camo patterns. Typical pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Typical pouch camouflage patterns include: woodland, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Have a look at the example swatches below for what they appear like:

The GUGULUZA brand is pretty popular among airsoft players. They manufacture really good quality airsoft pouches and other products. You can find answers on the brand’s website if you have questions about their airsoft gear or customer service questions.
Kinds Of GUGULUZA MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are pretty standard in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is typically fastened with Velcro. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most affordable ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types are similar to the basic mag pouches with a couple of modifications. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch style eliminates the flap leaving an open top to insert and take out magazines. This allows silent access and increased speed while accessing or reloading weapon equipment. These mag pouches can be found in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility easier and reloads faster than ever, this design of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE attachments so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The GUGULUZA brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized bungee bands (depending on producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps safely hold the magazines so you don’t need to worry about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
GUGULUZA MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches can be found in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which are available in the basic style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes several standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines very well with this resilient Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most commonly found versions of handgun pouches. Many of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same design.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and handgun magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over buying all six separately (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) create a space for you to discard empty magazines and other gear into during fights. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for additional security while on the run with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and consists of the medical gear airsoft players require when they need to patch up a cut or wound on the field. An emergency treatment kit must contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create a place for holding multitools, folded maps, pens, and other field items. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else generally. Think spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own separate pouch), and other gear you might require on the airsoft field or in a tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft units talk on radios and communications devices in the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
