About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The G-fun GFun Waterproof Waist Fanny Pack Messenger Shoulder Drop Leg Bag Tactical Military Thigh Hip Outdoor Pack with Earphone Hole Travel Hiking Climbing Cycling for Men is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches connect with MOLLE snap straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE straps offer a flexible way for users to choose the mounting location and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are applied in the MOLLE management system. Here are the three parts of the installing system: MOLLE pouches, panels, and straps. Mounting tactical pouches is quick and simple. Just thread the straps and snap the buttons to set them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how the gear system works, let’s have a look at a few of the most functional MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft equipment beginning with airsoft weapon mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of various colors and camo patterns.
About the G-fun Brand
The G-fun brand is fairly prominently known among airsoft players. They manufacture outstanding quality airsoft pouches and other gear. If you have questions about their tactical pouches or customer inquiries, you can find additional information on the brand’s website.
Types of G-fun MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are important to have on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are pretty standard in design. They are among the initial designs of pouches created to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is normally secured with Velcro. The flap might include a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch style. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most affordable methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the basic mag pouches with a couple of adjustments. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch style gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to place and remove magazines. This allows for silent access and increased speed while accessing or refilling gun equipment. These mag pouches can be found in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most advanced kind of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are developed into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine securely under tension. In order to make mag accessibility easier and reloads faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE accessories so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch elements are usually made from ABS materials.
The G-fun brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag style use varying types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized stress bands (depending upon maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps firmly hold the magazines so you don’t have to worry about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
G-fun MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in related styles to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which are available in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes several standard pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most typically seen variations of handgun pouches. Many of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the exact same design. This includes companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch designs are outstanding quality, functional, and are replicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all 6 individually (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a mag retrieval pouches) create a space for you to place empty mags and other things into rapidly. These tactical pouches are generally carried on your belt in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty mags after you reload your rifle, extra airsoft BBs/shells, and other equipment while in the battlefield. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for extra closure security while moving with a pouch full of empty clips.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK is an acronym for individual first aid kit and contains the medical gear airsoft players require when they need to patch up a cut or wound on the field. A first aid pack needs to include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create space for carrying multitools, folded maps, pens, and other field gear. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else usually. Think extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own special pouch), and other equipment you might need on the airsoft field or tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft teams employ communications and radios devices on the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
