About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The FRTKK Tactical MOLLE Water Bottle Pouch with Drawstring Open Top & Mesh Bottom, Military Water Bottle Holder Bag Sports Travel Hydration Carrier is a tactical pouch. Most tactical pouches connect with MOLLE snap straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE straps supply a versatile way for users to select the installation area and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE represents Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and refers to the pouches, panels, and straps which are adopted in the MOLLE management system. Here are the 3 parts of the installing system: MOLLE panels, straps, and pouches. Mounting tactical pouches is easy and fast. All you have to do is thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how the attachment system works, let’s check out a few of the most efficient MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in many various colors and camo patterns.
About the FRTKK Brand
The FRTKK brand is fairly prominently known in the world of airsoft. They create excellent quality airsoft equipment and other gear. You can find information on the brand’s site if you have questions about their airsoft pouches or client service questions.
Types of FRTKK MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are important to carry on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft weapon rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are pretty basic in style. They are among the initial styles of pouches created to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for included security that is normally secured with Velcro. The flap might include a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch style. In addition to being available from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most budget-friendly methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the standard mag pouches with a few modifications. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch style eliminates the flap leaving an open top to place and remove magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are constructed into the magazine pocket so that it holds the magazine firmly under tension. In order to make mag access simpler and reloads faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE attachments so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch components are normally made from ABS construction.
The FRTKK brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag style use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized tension bands (depending upon manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard tug up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps firmly hold the magazines so you don’t have to think about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
FRTKK MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches are available in similar designs to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which come in the standard style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes several standard pistol pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most commonly found versions of pistol pouches. A number of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the same style. This consists of manufacturers like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch styles are exceptional quality, usable, and are duplicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. A pair of magazines are normally better than one. This pouch proves this to be accurate because it saves you cash from needing to buy a pair of pouches. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all six individually (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never purchase pouches one at a time which you can get them together.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a mag retrieval pouches) create a space for you to throw empty magazines and other gear into quickly in the field. These tactical pouches are normally carried on your belt in a rolled up position and secured by a button or strap. The pouch can be rapidly unrolled to increase in size and hold empty magazines after reloads, extra airsoft BBs/shells, and other tactical gear while in the battlefield. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for added closure security while moving with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and includes the equipment airsoft players require when they have to patch up a gash or injury on the field. A first aid pack needs to include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make a place for holding a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field gear. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else generally. Think spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own separate pouch), and other equipment you may need on the airsoft field or in a tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft organizations manage communications and radios equipment in the field. Adopting a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
