About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The Fobus CUFF Cuff Pouch Cuff/Mag Roto-Paddle AMBI Standard Chain Handcuffs is a tactical pouch. Most tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop design accessories. MOLLE pouches have recently ended up being popular in the last few years due to tactical innovations and inventions. They are the top choice for securing military style pouches to military gear, tactical vests, range bags, and other types of military equipment. MOLLE straps provide a unique way for users to select the mounting location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location. The only restriction becomes which pouches to manage and where to put them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE represents Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and refers to the pouches, panels, and straps which are utilized in the MOLLE management system. Here are the 3 parts of the installing system: MOLLE straps, pouches, and panels. Mounting tactical pouches is quick and simple. Just thread the straps and snap the buttons to set them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s have a look at a few of the best MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of different colors and camouflage patterns.

Types of Fobus MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are essential to have on your gear for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are pretty basic in design. They are among the initial designs of pouches developed to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is generally fastened with Velcro. The flap might include a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch design. In addition to being available from many tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most budget friendly methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are comparable to the standard mag pouches with a few alterations. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch style eliminates the flap leaving an open top to insert and remove magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access easier and magazine swaps faster than before, this design of tactical pouch uses MOLLE connections so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Fobus brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use differing kinds of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized tension bands (depending on producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps safely hold the magazines so you do not have to worry about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Fobus MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in related designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which come in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines very well with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most typically found variations of pistol pouches. A lot of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same style.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over buying all six independently (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a clip collection pouches) create a spot for you to place empty magazines and other things into quickly in the field. These tactical pouches are usually carried in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty mags after you reload your gun, extra airsoft BBs/shells, and other gear while on the battlefield. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for extra closure security while moving with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and includes the medical gear airsoft players need when they need to patch up a scrape or wound on the field. An emergency treatment pack should include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create space for holding a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, and other field gear. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else usually. Think of things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you might need on the airsoft field or in a tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Many airsoft organizations use radios and communications equipment on the field. Applying a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
