About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The DOHOT Multi-Purpose Compact Nylon Outdoor Military Tactical Molle Pouch with Two Way Zipper & 6 Pockets,EDC Utility Gadget Belt Waist Bag for iPhone 6 6s 7 Plus,Samsung S4 S5 S6 S7 is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop design accessories. MOLLE straps provide a versatile method for users to select the installation location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE is an acronym for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are put to use in the MOLLE gear system. Here are the 3 parts of the mounting system: MOLLE pouches, straps, and panels. Mounting tactical pouches is simple and quick. Simply thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how the gear system works, let’s have a look at some of the best MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft equipment beginning with airsoft gun mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of different colors and camouflage patterns.
About the DOHOT Brand
The DOHOT brand is fairly widely known in the world of airsoft. They make good quality airsoft equipment and other gear. You can find information on the brand’s site if you have concerns about their airsoft gear or client service questions.
Kinds Of DOHOT MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are important to carry on your gear for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty basic in design. They are one of the initial designs of pouches developed to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for included security that is normally attached with Velcro. The flap could feature a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch design. In addition to being available from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most cost effective methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are comparable to the basic mag pouches with a couple of modifications. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch design eliminates the flap leaving an open top to insert and remove magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access easier and clip swaps faster than ever, this design of tactical pouch uses MOLLE straps so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The DOHOT brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized bungee bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps securely hold the magazines so you don’t have to worry about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
DOHOT MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches are available in related designs to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which come in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this durable Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most typically found versions of pistol pouches. Many of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the very same style.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all six separately (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) make a spot for you to ditch empty magazines and other things into during gunfights. Some dump pouches also have drawstring closure tops for additional security while moving on the run with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and contains the medical gear airsoft players require when they have to patch up a cut or injury on the field. A first aid kit needs to contain the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make space for holding a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, and other field supplies. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else usually. You can carry things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you may need on the airsoft field or tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft organizations carry communications and radios equipment on the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radio handsets like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
