What is MOLLE?

Kinds Of Dhana Style MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are important to have on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ because they are pretty standard in design. They are among the initial designs of pouches created to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is generally attached with Velcro. The flap might include a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch style. In addition to being available from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most economical methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches resemble the standard mag pouches with a few adjustments. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch design removes the flap leaving an open top to place and take out magazines. This allows for silent access and increased speed while accessing or refilling gun pouches. These mag pouches can come in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the newest and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access a lot easier and magazine swaps faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE connections so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Dhana Style brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use differing kinds of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized tension bands (depending on producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps safely hold the magazines so you don’t have to think about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Dhana Style MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches can be found in similar styles to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which can be found in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes several basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this long lasting Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most typically found versions of handgun pouches. Many of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same style.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all six separately (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a mag collection pouches) create a spot for you to discard empty mags and other gear into rapidly. These tactical pouches are generally carried in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to increase in size and hold empty clips after you reload your weapon, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other equipment while on the battlefield. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for added security while moving with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and consists of the equipment airsoft players need when they have to patch up a scrape or injury on the field. A first aid pack should include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create space for holding tools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field gear. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else generally. Think of things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own separate pouch), and other equipment you might need on the airsoft field or tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Many airsoft teams work with communications and radios equipment in the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
