About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Condor Utility Shoulder Bag-Coyote TAN is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE pouches have recently become popular in the last several years due to tactical innovations and inventions. They are the top option for securing military style pouches to range gear, tactical vests, deployment bags, and other types of field gear. MOLLE straps provide a unique way for users to choose the mounting location and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area. The only restriction becomes which pouches to adopt and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE is an acronym meaning Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are employed in the MOLLE equipment system. Here are the 3 parts of the installing system: MOLLE pouches, panels, and straps. Installing tactical pouches is simple and quick. Just thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how the system works, let’s check out a few of the best MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in all colors and camouflage patterns. Common pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Common pouch camouflage patterns include: woodland, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Check out the example swatches below for what they look like:

The Condor brand is quite well-known among airsoft players. They make fairly good quality airsoft equipment and other products. You can find information on the brand’s website if you have questions about their airsoft gear or customer service questions.
Types of Condor MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are essential to have on your gear for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft weapon rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ because they are pretty basic in design. They are among the original styles of pouches designed to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is normally secured with Velcro. The flap could feature a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch style. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most cost effective methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types are similar to the standard mag pouches with a few alterations. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design eliminates the flap leaving an open top to place and take out magazines. This allows quiet access and increased speed while accessing or swapping weapon equipment. These mag pouches can come in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility simpler and clip swaps faster than ever, this design of tactical pouch uses MOLLE connections so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Condor brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use varying types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized stress bands (depending on producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps firmly hold the magazines so you do not have to be concerned about losing the mag during fast movements, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Condor MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches can be found in similar styles to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which can be found in the standard style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a couple of basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this durable Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most commonly chosen variations of handgun pouches. Many of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the very same style. This consists of companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch styles are excellent quality, usable, and are replicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. A pair of mags are typically far better than one. This pouch shows this to be correct considering that it saves you money from needing to buy a pair of pouches. For instance, the cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all six independently (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never buy pouches one at a time which you can get them together.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) make a space for you to dump empty magazines and other things into during gunfights. Some dump pouches also have drawstring closure tops for additional security while moving with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and consists of the medical gear airsoft players require when they need to patch up a scrape or wound on the field. A first aid kit needs to include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make space for holding a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, and other field items. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else usually. Think of things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you may need on the airsoft field or in a tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft organizations manage radios and communications equipment on the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
