About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Armiya Molle Pouch Tactical Small EDC Military Utility Bag Gadget Gear Pack for Travel Hiking Camping Cycling Climbing Backpacking is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches connect with MOLLE webbing straps and hook-and-loop design attachments. MOLLE straps offer a flexible method for users to choose the installation place and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE is an acronym for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are used in the MOLLE gear system. Here are the three parts of the mounting system: MOLLE straps, pouches, and panels. Installing tactical pouches is quick and simple. Merely thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how the gear system works, let’s take a look at some of the best MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft gun mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in all colors and camouflage patterns. Typical pouch colors consist of: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Common pouch camouflage patterns consist of: woodland, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Have a look at the example swatches below for what they look like:
About the Armiya Brand
The Armiya brand is pretty popular among airsoft players. They manufacture very good quality airsoft equipment and other products. If you have questions about their tactical pouches or customer support inquiries, you can find additional information on the brand’s business website.
Types of Armiya MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are important to have on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft weapon rifle magazines. These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are pretty basic in design. They are among the initial designs of pouches designed to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is normally attached with Velcro. The flap might feature a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch design. In addition to being offered from many tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most economical ways to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types are similar to the basic mag pouches with a couple of modifications. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to put in and extract magazines. This enables silent access and increased speed while reloading guns or accessing equipment. These mag pouches can come in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the newest and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility easier and magazine swaps faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch uses MOLLE attachments so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Armiya brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized stress bands (depending upon producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps firmly hold the magazines so you don’t need to think about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Armiya MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches are available in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which are available in the standard style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a couple of basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this durable Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most commonly chosen variations of pistol pouches. A lot of the same companies that make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the very same style. This includes companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch styles are excellent quality, usable, and are reproduced by airsoft pouch companies.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and handgun magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all six separately (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a mag collection pouches) make a spot for you to dump empty magazines and other things into rapidly. These tactical pouches are normally carried on your belt in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty clips after you reload your rifle, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other tac gear while on the battlefield. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for extra closure security while moving with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK is an acronym meaning individual first aid kit and consists of the equipment airsoft players need when they need to patch up a cut or wound on the field. A first aid pack must include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create space for carrying multitools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field supplies. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else generally. You can carry things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own special pouch), and other gear you might require on the airsoft field or tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Many airsoft organizations talk on radios and communications devices on the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
