About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The AMYIPO Folding Tactical Molle Drawstring Magazine Dump Pouch, Military Adjustable Belt Utility Hip Holster Bag Outdoor Mag Pouch is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE pouches have recently become popular in the last few years due to tactical innovations and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top option for securing military design pouches to range gear, airsoft vests, range bags, and other types of equipment. MOLLE straps offer a flexible way for users to pick the mounting place and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel location. The only constraint ends up being which pouches to apply and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE represents Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and describes the pouches, panels, and straps which are put to use in the MOLLE management system. Here are the three parts of the mounting system: MOLLE pouches, straps, and panels. Installing tactical pouches is easy and fast. Simply thread the straps and snap the buttons to set them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s take a look at a few of the best MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft equipment beginning with airsoft gun mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in all colors and camouflage patterns. Common pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Common pouch camouflage patterns consist of: forest, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Have a look at the example swatches in the product description for what they appear like:

Kinds Of AMYIPO MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty basic in design. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is normally fastened with Velcro. In addition to being readily available from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are resilient and one of the most budget-friendly ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches resemble the standard mag pouches with a couple of adjustments. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design removes the flap leaving an open top to place and extract magazines. This allows for quiet access and increased speed while reloading guns or accessing pouches. These mag pouches can come in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access simpler and magazine reloads faster than before, this style of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE connections so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The AMYIPO brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag design use varying kinds of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized tension bands (depending upon producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps safely hold the magazines so you do not have to worry about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
AMYIPO MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in similar designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which can be found in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this resilient Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most frequently found variations of handgun pouches. A lot of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same style.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over buying all 6 separately (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a mag recovery pouches) create a spot for you to discard empty magazines and other things into quickly during firefights. These tactical pouches are typically carried in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to increase in size and hold empty mags after you reload your rifle, extra airsoft BBs/shells, and other gear while in the battlefield. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for added security while moving with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK stands for individual first aid kit and contains the medical gear airsoft players require when they need to patch up a cut or wound on the field. An emergency treatment pack needs to contain the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make a place for holding tools, folded maps, pens, and other field items. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else generally. Think extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you might require on the airsoft field or tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Many airsoft teams work with radios and communications equipment on the field. Applying a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
