About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Ameratex Tactical Chest Pouch Rip Away Combat Medical Response Black is a tactical pouch. The majority of tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE straps offer a versatile method for users to select the mounting location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE means Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and describes the pouches, panels, and straps which are adopted in the MOLLE equipment system. Here are the 3 parts of the mounting system: MOLLE pouches, straps, and panels. Mounting tactical pouches is quick and simple. All soldiers have to do is thread the straps and snap the buttons to set them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how the system works, let’s check out some of the most efficient MOLLE pouches you can put on your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft gun mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in many different colors and camo patterns.

Kinds Of Ameratex MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are necessary to carry on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty basic in style. They are one of the initial designs of pouches designed to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for included security that is normally fastened with Velcro. The flap could include a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch style. In addition to being available from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most budget-friendly ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the basic mag pouches with a few alterations. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design removes the flap leaving an open top to insert and extract magazines. This allows quiet access and increased speed while accessing or reloading gun gear. These mag pouches can be available in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the newest and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access a lot easier and magazine swaps faster than ever, this style of tactical pouch uses MOLLE straps so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Ameratex brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag style use differing kinds of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cords or rubberized stress bands (depending upon maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps firmly hold the magazines so you do not have to worry about losing the mag during fast movements, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Ameratex MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Handgun Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches can be found in similar designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which are available in the basic style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a couple of standard pistol pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines very well with this durable Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most frequently used versions of pistol pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the very same style.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and handgun magazine. A pair of magazines are generally far better than one. This pouch proves this to be true considering that it saves you money from needing to buy two separate pouches. For instance, the cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all six individually (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never purchase pouches one at a time when you can get them together.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) create a space for you to throw empty magazines and other gear into quickly. Some dump pouches also have drawstring closure tops for extra security while moving on the run with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and consists of the medical gear airsoft players need when they have to patch up a gash or wound on the field. An emergency treatment kit should include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create space for holding tools, folded maps, pens, and other field supplies. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else normally. Think extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own special pouch), and other gear you might need on the airsoft field or in a tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft units work with communications and radios equipment on the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
