MATERIAL. Polartec® Power Grid ” a new generation of base layer fabrics and the most complicated base layer fabric technology. Polartec® Power Grid is the evolution of fleece fabric engineering.
LIGHTWEIGHT WARMTH. The ability to maximize base layer efficiency through enhanced performance benefits is a primary goal of Power Grid fabric design. By constructing a symmetrical grid pattern Polartec was able to not only increase thermal warmth and mechanical wicking capabilities but reduce the overall fabric mass and weight without affecting the performance capabilities of the design.
ODOR RESISTANCE. You and your garment will remain fresh and comfortable for a much longer time. It eliminates all unpleasant odors and prevents odor development during long-term use. Combined with perfect moisture-wicking abilities it means you will remain fresh and dry in every situation, temperature, and environment.
DESIGN. The comfortable design provides a nice fit, gives a comfortable feel and prevents the fabric from chafing. Flat seams eliminate any possibility of rubbing and irritation of your skin under the top layers of thermal clothing or straps of hiking and climbing gear.

281Z TERRAIN thermal base layer
is designed for intensive activities connected with profound sweating. It is made of one of the most complicated Polartec baselayer fabrics – Polartec Power Grid. The geometric constructions of the fabric generate targeted touchpoints for the patented bi-component design to manage excess moisture. The next-to-skin surface is hydrophilic and absorbs sweat vapor to transfer it outside the garment. Then the outer surface disperses moisture for more efficient evaporation. The grid design also creates open air channels that improve breathability, and reduce fabric mass. All this performance is wrapped into a comfortable design. We used all our experience in making performance military clothing to create a versatile and comfortable garment which would look casual and will be good and comfortable for everyday use, but will retain the performance characteristics and durability of military ones.
