About Tactical Vests
The Fishlor Adjustable Camouflage Vest, Children Camouflage V-Neckline Vest with Multi Pocket for Outdoor Hunting Game(Jungle Camouflage S) by Fishlor works well for airsoft. Airsoft vests, plate carriers, and tactical loadout equipment are often used for carrying gear on the airsoft field. These carriers and vests make it simple for airsoft players to maintain control of their equipment and efficiently walk around the battlefield while having everything they may need to win more missions. They also have a tacticool operator status appearance to them and give protection to participant’s bodies from inbound airsoft BBs.
Airsoft tactical vests usually have lots of pockets, pouches, and MOLLE attachment panels. This is a balancing act since it is a mix of packing what you require in the field but not excessive amounts of gear. Stay away from carrying so much gear that it weighs you down or prevents you from walking easily through the airsoft field. Some typically found items in a standard airsoft tactical vest loadout include the following: Extra airsoft gun magazines, sidearms like shotguns or pistols, extra airsoft BBs, red rags, snack foods, water for hydration , communications equipment, gun repair kits, and knives.
Fishlor Vest Protection Levels
Tactical airsoft vests like the Fishlor Adjustable Camouflage Vest, Children Camouflage V-Neckline Vest with Multi Pocket for Outdoor Hunting Game(Jungle Camouflage S) provide a few layers of additional fabric to help cushion the impact of incoming airsoft BBs. Some vests have more than others and some vests include hardened armor plates or ABS plastic scales. These airsoft vests have extra padding and torso safety, however practically every vest will use some defense from incoming airsoft BBs.
One obstacle experienced by using thick vests with rows of magazine pouches and a lot of equipment connected to them is that participants can not feel their hits effectively. In these cases, game players should listen for their hits and call themselves out if their vest or gear is hit by incoming airsoft BBs. Players should follow the airsoft field or tournament guidelines.
Kinds of Fishlor Airsoft Vests
There are a few different types of vests and load-bearing equipment worn by players in airsoft. As a definition, an airsoft vest is a basic term used to characterize anything participants tactically don on the upper half of their bodies and holds airsoft equipment.
The airsoft vest types consist of pre-made tactical airsoft vests, tactical MOLLE vest platforms, airsoft plate carriers and armor holders, modular chest rigs and tactical half vests, and tactical load-bearing vests (LBV). The Fishlor Fishlor Adjustable Camouflage Vest, Children Camouflage V-Neckline Vest with Multi Pocket for Outdoor Hunting Game(Jungle Camouflage S) falls into one of these categories. Learn about the types below.
Pre-Made Tactical Airsoft Vests
Pre-made airsoft vests are one of the most basic kinds of airsoft vests. These vests come ready-to-play out of the box and are also some of the more affordable vests readily available while still keeping good quality and toughness.
These vests are immediately functional and come with sewn in magazine pouches, pouches which hold airsoft BBs, and other pockets. With pre-made vests, participants can often attach a U.S. GI military web belt to the bottom of the vest.
Toughness of Pre-Made Vests
Considering that these airsoft vests are factory built, they are very well made with durable stitching and will generally last for a very long time. We have seen a few of these vests used for so long the colors begin to fade, however they still serve their gear carrying purpose. Lots of airsoft players start playing with one of these vests, resell it in the future, and upgrade to a more custom vest option.
Pre-Made Vest Models and Types
Make sure the vest you are purchasing will work for holding your particular airsoft gun type magazines. Various designs of pre-made airsoft vests are also offered. Rifle shotgun tactical vest pouch setups with shotgun shell loops inside pouches.
Airsoft MOLLE Tactical Vests
A more sophisticated and customizable airsoft vest is the tactical MOLLE airsoft vest design. These modular vests allow each pouch to be relocated and positioned individually based upon the particular setup airsoft team players and tactical operators need. The MOLLE webbing uses a hook and loop strap system which permits weapon magazine pouches, radio pouches, medical IAK pouches, communications pouches, and weapon holsters to be installed anywhere on the vest where the MOLLE panels are located. The resulting numerous different combinations, positions, and orientations empower tactical operators to decide on the personalized MOLLE pouch set up for the specific role they are playing (like breacher, grenadier, SAW gunner, etc) or objective they are running.
The tailored appearance and feel of MOLLE airsoft vests are excellent. The tactical vest platform and pouches are usually sold separately or in sets which makes them more expensive than pre-made airsoft vests.
Airsoft Versus Military MOLLE Equipment
When looking for MOLLE vests, keep in mind airsoft companies make replicas of real military tactical vests. These airsoft knock-off vests and pouches run a fraction of the prices of the genuine gear employed by militaries, Special Forces (like Rangers, Naval Special Warfare Development ‘Dev Group’, and MARSOC) and other special ops units.
How MOLLE Attachments Work
The three parts of the system are MOLLE pouches, straps, and panels which are put together to develop the MOLLE airsoft loadout. MOLLE panels are the base found on airsoft vests. The MOLLE pouches have a MOLLE loop panel on the back of the pouch which make it possible for the straps to be solidly attached to MOLLE panel loops.
Putting Your Kit Together
The entire MOLLE system comes together as operators pick the pouches they need for an airsoft vest loadout or objective, weave the MOLLE straps through the loops on the pouches and vest panels, and secure the snaps on the straps to keep the pouches in place. The result is a super tailored airsoft vest with the appearance and feel of operator status.
Airsoft Tactical Vest Plate Carriers
Airsoft tactical vest plate carriers look like basic MOLLE vests and many of these vests also have plate carrier compartments and attributes. This makes it easy to use and change MOLLE pouches in between vest plate carriers and standard MOLLE vests These tactical vests have internal pouches to hold authentic or replica ballistic level III3A plates or level IV plates. Airsoft team players employ these plate carrier vests for an added coolness aspect and can even run realistic or replica ballistic plates and panels to imitate an operational loadout or war kit.
Airsoft Modular Chest Rigs and Slicks
Tactical modular chest rig vests generally only have front and back panels that can hold rifle plates. They look like plate carrier vests and also have MOLLE panels on the front and back for MOLLE pouches. These tactical vests are different from MOLLE vests due to the fact that they are more low-profile and can be employed over or under other clothing like jackets, uniforms, vests, and large clothing relatively quickly. The side straps on modular chest rigs also adjust more than basic plate carrier vests. Slicks are just modular chest rig vests however without the MOLLE attachments which makes them smooth or slick. These type of airsoft vests are less beneficial for carrying equipment considering that they do not have pouches. They are often employed for props as civilian role players or uniform builds for a particular conflict imitating a famous military unit that employed them like the Navy Seals.
Tactical Half Vests and Gunfighter Harnesses
Airsoft half vests or gunfighter vests fall into this category. Half vests are half of a vest with a row of internal pouches in the front. This type of airsoft vest can even be used over top of other types of equipment and vests.
Tactical Load-Bearing Vests (LBVs)
Tactical load-bearing vests are a few of the most standard vests to employ for airsoft. These vest styles were used throughout conflicts like Vietnam and Desert Storm. They hold a place in military history and now are used on loads of airsoft fields. These airsoft tactical vests feature 6 integrated M4 mag pouches with 2 grenade pouches. If required, they have loops to connect a U.S. G.I. web belt where airsoft team players can include more pouches and ammunition dump bags. The back of the vest has connections for a buttpack. The vest straps for the shoulders and sides adjust to littler and larger-sized airsoft participants that make this vest really flexible.
