Airsoft Pistol Product Features
This is a Green Gas Airsoft Pistol which means that it uses Green Gas as a propellant. It shoots hard and fast and is extremely lifelike. One feature many Green Gas Airsoft Guns have is blowback, meaning that as the BB is propelled forward the slide thrusts backward mimicking the kick of a real gun! This Green Gas Airsoft Pistol doesn’t require any pumping just simply point and shoot. This is a high end Green Gas Airsoft gun. Please only use .20 gram high quality BBs with this item in order to keep it in working order. Using anything else as ammunition for this gun will void the warranty and may cause it to jam. You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase this Airsoft gun. You will need to purchase Green Gas for this gun separately.
Airsoft Pistol Style Additional Information
Find out about airsoft pistols and how you can use them as backup guns or as primary weapons on the airsoft playing field. Practicing your shot accuracy and getting the best handgun can make an impact in nailing your shots. Handguns, by nature, are diminished range airsoft guns. They are frequently created after real-world sidearms or clones of legitimate handguns. Many different airsoft pistols are completely certified reproductions of their real-world weapon counterparts. These airsoft guns can function (except for shooting bullets) in the same ways and look and feel identically to the real guns they are modeled after while firing airsoft BBs in place of real-world bullets.
There are a variety of airsoft sidearms such as CO2, green gas or propane (blowback and non-blowback), spring powered, and AEG automatic electric handguns. Each of these varieties of pistols has negatives and positives related to them. Learning more about the kinds of airsoft pistols lets you decide which type is right for you and your airsoft play style.
CO2 Airsoft Handguns
CO2 airsoft handguns are one of the most standard and resilient styles of handguns. They are all season, all weather pistols and function well in lots of kinds of extreme temperatures, weather and climates. These sidearms use high pressure CO2 gas to propel airsoft BBs out of the handgun barrel. The CO2 cartridge stores the gas and is typically kept in the pistol’s magazine inside the handle.
These forms of airsoft weapons are very good for airsoft games in colder weather due to the fact that the compressed CO2 gas is less susceptible to performance decreases by low temperatures. This offers excellent FPS and shot consistency while playing airsoft in the winter for instance where other varieties of pistols like green gas stuffer from low performance or hardly fire airsoft BBs.
About CO2 Gas and CO2 Cartridge Cylinders
CO2 airsoft sidearms are powered by regular 12 gram CO2 cylinders. These cartridges look similar to a shiny cylinder and hold high pressure CO2 gas composed of 1 carbon atom and a couple of oxygen atoms hence the molecular formula of “C + O2”.
The CO2 gas cartridge cylinders cannot be used multiple times and you can normally order them in bundles of 12, 20, 50, or 100 12 gram CO2 cartridge sets. They come sealed to preserve the CO2 gas safely inside, once they are punctured (shooting them in an airsoft pistol breaks the seal) the cartridges will begin to lose pressure if they are not expended. You should attempt to consume the entire CO2 cartridge the exact same day you open the seal. Use the chance to do some handgun target practice and use up the rest of the additional gas if the airsoft matches end and you still have CO2 gas left. There is no gas level indication on the cartridge so you have to shoot up until the handgun stops shooting airsoft BBs.
If they are kept sealed, CO2 cartridges can be stored for a longtime. They come with a maker’s use by date usually printed on the package or cylinder, however they may maintain pressure for an extended time past this date if the cartridge seal is not punctured.
Green Gas Airsoft Handguns
Green gas airsoft pistols are similar to CO2 pistols, but they use propane gas instead of CO2 cartridges. The result on the airsoft battlefield and green gas weapon performance is almost the exact same as CO2 pistols with the guns at around 300+ FPS.
The green gas is kept in the handgun’s airsoft magazine which can typically hold between 15 to 20+ BBs depending on the pistol design. A series of valves, rubber gaskets, and seals keep the gas pressurized in the magazine till the pistol’s trigger is pulled.
When bringing a green gas sidearm on the airsoft field as a main or backup gun, bringing additional magazines is suggested for rapidly reloading and getting back into the game. Having additional mags allows you to reengage in the action throughout firefights or while clearing structures in CQB (close quarters combat) room-to-room combat.
Green gas handguns are excellent for CQB at airsoft fields because long guns and full-sized AEGs are usually not permitted to be used during indoor shooting. This is a safety regulation because of the close range distance of gamers during shooting engagements and the potential for players to be injured. While green gas handguns still shoot airsoft BBs at about 300 FPS, the short handgun barrel helps to keep the joules and energy launching the BB at a lower level compared to AEGs, sniper rifles, and long guns.
About Green Gas Blowback (GBB) VS Green Gas Non-blowback
There are two various styles of green gas airsoft handguns. First there are green gas blowback pistols or GBBs. These guns operate like a realistic handgun with the gun’s slide “blowing back” with every shot. The propane causes the slide to cycle when a fresh airsoft BB is chambered. This cycling is really cool, but the weapons usually are more expensive and possibly have more which can break. The green gas non-blowback airsoft handguns have a fixed slide which does not move. The non-blowback pistols commonly cost less than GBBs. Performance is about the same when comparing the two varieties of green gas pistols.
About GBB and Green Gas Issues
While green gas typically functions very well on the airsoft field, it does have drawbacks. When they are used in the winter playing in the snow or in colder weather (like under 32 degrees F). Since the green gas or propane gas is kept in the weapon’s mag using silicone seals and gaskets, cold weather can impact the seals and allow the stored gas to leak out prior to firing the pistol. The decrease in pressure can make the airsoft BBs to just shoot a few feet (like 10 feet in cold temps ) when the gun would typically shoot airsoft BBs over 100+ foot ranges in warmer temperatures).
One fix to this problem is to make the GBB handgun magazines warmer by holding them next to your body or by a heater before the airsoft game play starts. If you truly want to play with a trustworthy airsoft handgun in the cold, it might also be worth getting a CO2 variation of your preferred handgun.
Spring Airsoft Pistol Info
Spring airsoft guns are powered by powerful springs that fire the BBs out of the handgun’s barrel. The manual functioning of reloading, shooting, and cocking spring guns makes the fire rate much slower than CO2, green gas, and GBB airsoft guns.
Spring sidearms perform most effectively in springer wars where opponents can only use similar, single shot spring guns or as a transition weapon for CQB buildings when you can often quietly sneak up on other airsoft players to get an assured one-shot-one-kill. In the latter case, a fast 2nd followup shot is not needed due to the fact that the other person is now hit by the first shot and out of the gameplay or heading back to respawn. When engaging a number of rivals since the spring gun just fires as quick as you can re-chamber an airsoft BB manually, be careful.
About Spring Pistol Effectiveness
Spring handguns are extremely reliable under the correct game conditions. Spring pistols can often fire up to 120 feet or farther with 0.12 gram BBs however precision decreases rapidly.
AEG Automatic Electric Airsoft Pistols
AEG airsoft handguns or AEPs (automatic electric pistols) are definitely a viable option to use as a sidearm on the airsoft field. These automatic electric pistols are commonly powered by mini stick batteries in the weapon’s butt. They work just like an AEG SMG and use compressed air pumped through electrically cycled gearboxes, pistons, and cylinders to shoot airsoft BBs out of the barrel and very quickly at that.
AEG handgun mags normally can carry around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs. The handguns can fire airsoft BBs as high as about 300 FPS using 0.12g airsoft BBs or 200 to 250 FPS with 0.20g airsoft BBs. The electric gearbox system can shoot around 700+ BBs per minute assuming you have enough spare mags to reload the gun and the battery holds out that long. These pistols can precisely shoot airsoft BBs at around 150 foot distances.
AEG Handgun Quality and Efficiency
AEG handgun quality has increased significantly in recent years. The initial gen AEP guns were a bit unreliable and sketchy, but the new models have most of the bugs worked out and make efficient airsoft secondary weapons. They can be further modded with increased mag capacities together with accommodating larger batteries.
A substantial advantage of carrying an AEG pistol is that you have the ability to rewire the connectors to use a bigger battery. Depending on the AEG pistol model, you can get a large output in performance by using a 2 cell Lipo battery (2S Lipo) rather than the stock mini battery.
Which Airsoft Handgun is Best for Me to Buy?
Picking out the right airsoft pistol for you depends upon how much you can afford, how much you would like to play airsoft with it, and where you hope to play. Check out a GBB green gas pistol or AEG handgun if you have more than one-hundred dollars to spend on your airsoft pistol. These guns are normally the top-tier guns, have great efficiency, and can be a pretty good gun to get. If you have around $50 to $100 to devote to your airsoft gun purchase, look into a CO2 handgun or more affordable green gas handgun. Mid-tier guns like these will still finish the job and can be pretty resilient sidearms. Look for a cheap CO2 or spring handgun if you have fifty dollars or less. You can still find a well-built airsoft pistol to use for the handgun airsoft guns.
