Green Gas WE M92 Tactical Pistol FPS-430 Full Metal Blowback Airsoft Gun Package Deal (Mask, Green Gas and BBs)
Airsoft Pistol Product Features
This is a Green Gas Airsoft Pistol which means that it uses Green Gas as a propellant. It shoots hard and fast and is extremely lifelike. One feature many Green Gas Airsoft Guns have is blowback, meaning that as the BB is propelled forward the slide thrusts backward mimicking the kick of a real gun! This Green Gas Airsoft Pistol doesn’t require any pumping just simply point and shoot. This is a high end Green Gas Airsoft gun. Please only use .20 gram high quality BBs with this item in order to keep it in working order. Using anything else as ammunition for this gun will void the warranty and may cause it to jam. You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase this Airsoft gun. You will need to purchase Green Gas for this gun separately.
How to Pick an Airsoft Pistol
Find information about airsoft pistols and sidearms and how you can use them as extra weapons or as primary weapons on the airsoft playing field. A large number of airsoft pistols are fully accredited versions of their actual handgun equivalents and run and look in the very same ways while shooting airsoft BBs rather than authentic bullets.
There are a variety of airsoft handguns such as CO2, green gas (blowback and non-blowback), spring powered, and AEG automatic electric handguns. Each of these varieties of sidearms has benefits and differences related to them. Finding out about the styles of airsoft handguns allows you to figure out which type is right for you and your airsoft gameplay style.
CO2 Airsoft Pistols
CO2 airsoft sidearms are one of the most typical and tough types of sidearms. These handguns use sealed CO2 gas cylinders to propel airsoft BBs out of the handgun barrel.
These styles of airsoft pistols are excellent for airsoft games in cold and snowy weather conditions considering that the pressurized CO2 gas is stored in the sealed cylinders and less sensitive to variation by temperature levels. This fact gives CO2 airsoft guns excellent FPS and shot consistency while playing airsoft in the winter months for example where other types of airsoft guns like green gas stuffer from low performance or hardly fire airsoft BBs.
Additional Info About CO2 Gas and CO2 Cartridge Cylinders
CO2 airsoft pistols are powered by basic 12 gram CO2 cylinders. These cartridges look like a chrome cylinder and store high-pressure CO2 gas made up of a single carbon atom and two oxygen atoms hence the molecular formula of “C + O2”.
The CO2 cartridges cannot be used multiple times and you can normally purchase them in packs of 12, 20, 50, or 100 12 gram CO2 cartridge sets. They come sealed to retain the CO2 gas safely within, but the moment they are punctured (firing them in an airsoft handgun breaks the cartridge seal) the cartridges will begin to lose pressure if they are not used up. You need to try to deplete the whole CO2 cartridge the very same day you open the seal. Use the opportunity to do some pistol target practice and use up the rest of the additional gas if the airsoft games end and you still have CO2 gas left. There is no gas level indication on the cartridge so you need to shoot up until the handgun stops firing airsoft BBs.
CO2 cartridges can be stored for a longtime if they are stored sealed. They are made with the manufacturer’s use by date typically listed on the box or cylinder, however they can maintain pressure for a prolonged period of time past this date if the cartridge seal is not broken.
Information About Green Gas Airsoft Handguns
Green gas airsoft pistols are similar to CO2 guns, however they do not use CO2 cartridges. Rather, they use green gas or propane for propellant to shoot 6mm airsoft BBs. The impact on the battlefield and green gas sidearm performance is just about the same as CO2 handguns with the guns shooting up to 300+ FPS. Shots are quickly fired in semi-automatic or fully-automatic shooting modes and can accurately hit targets at shorter to mid-range distances.
The green gas is kept in the pistol’s grip within the magazine and can typically hold roughly 15 to 20+ 6mm airsoft BBs depending upon the pistol model. A sequence of valves, rubberized gaskets, and seals keep the gas pressurized in the magazine prior to when the handgun’s trigger is pulled. It is a good idea to refill and top off the propane reserves in the pistol mag each time you load it into the handgun. Pistol-wielding gamers can even take supplemental bottles of propane in the field for reloading between breaks in the fight or in-between game play.
When playing with a green gas handgun on the airsoft field or arena as a primary or secondary gun, bringing additional magazines is highly recommended for quickly reloading and engaging the op force. Having extra magazines on-hand allows you to reengage in the action during firefights or while clearing buildings in CQB (close quarters combat) room-to-room fighting.
Green gas handguns are ideal for CQB at airsoft fields since rifles and full-sized AEGs are generally not permitted to be used during indoor engagements. This is an essential safety standard due to the close quarters proximity of airsoft players during shooting engagements. While green gas handguns still fire airsoft BBs at about 300 FPS, the shorter pistol barrel assists to keep the joules and energy propelling the BB at a lower level compared to airsoft rifles, sniper rifles, and other long guns.
Thinking About Green Gas Blowback (GBB) VS Green Gas Non-blowback
There are 2 different varieties of green gas airsoft pistols. To start with there are green gas blowback handguns or GBBs. These guns function like a real pistol with the slide “blowing back” and cycling with every shot. The propane gas triggers the slide to cycle every time when a brand-new airsoft BB is loaded into the chamber. The result is really cool, but the handguns usually cost more and likely have more parts which can break. The green gas non-blowback airsoft handguns have a stationary slide which does not cycle. The non-blowback guns typically cost less than GBBs. Performance is about the same between the two styles of green gas pistols.
About GBB and Green Gas Limitations
Because the green gas or propane is kept in the magazine using rubber seals, o-rings, and silicone gaskets, the cold can negatively influence these o-rings and cause the gas to leak out before shooting the handgun. This lack of pressure can make the airsoft BBs to simply land a few feet away (like 10 feet in cold weather ) when the handgun would typically shoot BBs over 100+ feet in warmer weather conditions).
One strategy to this problem is to make the GBB handgun mags warmer by placing them next to your body, beside a heater, or inside your jacket prior to game play starts. If you truly desire to play with a reliable airsoft handgun in the cold weather, it may also be worth getting a CO2 variation of your favorite handgun.
Spring Airsoft Pistol Information
Spring airsoft guns are powered by powerful springs that launch the BBs out of the gun’s barrel. The manual functioning of reloading, cocking, and shooting spring handguns makes the fire rate much slower than CO2 and GBB handguns.
Spring guns work best in springer wars where players can solely use similar, single shot spring pistols or as an alternative weapon for CQB buildings when you can usually sneak up to other airsoft opponents to get a guaranteed one-shot-one-kill. In the latter case, a quick second followup shot is not required considering that the other player is now hit by the first BB and out of the gameplay or headed back to respawn. When engaging a number of players considering that the weapon just shoots as quickly as you can re-chamber an airsoft BB manually, be careful.
About Spring Pistol Performance
Spring handguns are really effective under the right scenarios. Spring guns like pistols can normally shoot accurately up to 120 feet or farther with 0.12g BBs but target accuracy decreases rapidly.
About AEG Automatic Electric Airsoft Sidearms
AEG airsoft pistols or AEPs (automatic electric pistols) are definitely a good choice to bring as a secondary gun on the airsoft field. These automatic electric pistols are normally powered by mini stick batteries in the gun’s handle. They work similar to an AEG rifle and use pressured air with electrically cycled gearboxes and cylinders to fire airsoft BBs quickly and very rapidly at that.
AEG handgun mags usually carry around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs. The handguns can fire airsoft BBs approximately around 300 FPS with 0.12 gram airsoft BBs or about 200 to 250 FPS using 0.20 gram airsoft BBs. The electric gearbox system can shoot around 700+ 6mm BBs per minute which depends on if you have enough spare mags to maintain the ammo supply and the battery maintains its charge that long. These AEP handguns can efficiently shoot airsoft BBs at around 150 foot distances.
AEG Pistol Quality and Efficiency
AEG handgun quality has actually increased considerably over the last few years. The early generations were a little bit undependable and questionable, however the more recent models have the bugs resolved and make efficient airsoft backup guns. They can be further upgraded with increased magazine capacities together with accommodating bigger batteries.
A significant advantage of using an AEG pistol is that you have the power to rewire the battery connectors to use a bigger battery. Depending on the AEG handgun design, you can get a huge jump in efficiency by employing a 2 cell Lipo battery (2S Lipo) as an alternative for the stock AEP battery.
What Airsoft Handgun is Right for Me to Play with?
If you have over one-hundred dollars to use to buy your airsoft handgun, you may want to consider a green gas blowback pistol or automatic electric handgun. If you have around fifty to one-hundred dollars to buy a gun, check out a good quality CO2 handgun or less expensive GBB handgun. If your gun budget is lower, you can still get a hold of a long lasting airsoft pistol to use for the pistol games.
