About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The Wilder Tactical USA Made Evolution Tourniquet Pouch, Quick Clip 1.5″ is a tactical pouch. Most tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop design attachments. MOLLE pouches have just recently become popular in the last several years due to tactical innovations and inventions. They are the top choice for securing military design pouches to tactical equipment, airsoft vests, range bags, and other types of field gear. MOLLE straps provide a flexible method for users to choose the mounting location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE attachment panel area. The only constraint becomes which pouches to employ and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE is an acronym for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and refers to the pouches, panels, and straps which are used in the MOLLE equipment system. Here are the 3 parts of the installing system: MOLLE panels, straps, and pouches. Installing tactical pouches is fast and simple. Merely thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out a few of the most efficient MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft gear starting with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of various colors and camo patterns.

Types of Wilder Tactical MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ because they are quite standard in design. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is usually fastened with Velcro. In addition to being readily available from many tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are long lasting and one of the most budget-friendly ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types resemble the standard mag pouches with a few enhancements. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch style eliminates the flap leaving an open top to insert and take out magazines. This allows for silent access and increased speed while reloading guns or accessing gear. These mag pouches can come in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most advanced kind of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are developed into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine securely under stretchy bungees. In order to make mag access easier and magazine swaps faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE accessories so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch components are typically made of ABS components.
The Wilder Tactical brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag style use varying types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized bungee bands (depending upon producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard tug up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps securely hold the magazines so you do not have to think about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Wilder Tactical MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches can be found in similar designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which come in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few standard pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most frequently found variations of handgun pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the same design. This includes manufacturers like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch styles are excellent quality, functional, and are duplicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all 6 individually (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) make an area for you to throw empty mags and other things into during fights. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for extra security while moving with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and contains the medical gear airsoft players need when they need to patch up a gash or injury on the field. A first aid kit needs to contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, a number of sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create room for carrying a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field gear. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else generally. You can carry things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own special pouch), and other gear you might need on the airsoft field or tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft units talk on radios and communications devices in the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radio handsets like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
