About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The VooDoo Tactical Men’s EMT Pouch is a tactical pouch. The majority of tactical pouches connect with MOLLE snap straps and hook-and-loop design accessories. MOLLE straps offer a flexible way for users to pick the mounting location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are used in the MOLLE equipment system. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s look at some of the top MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches are available in all colors and camouflage patterns. Typical pouch colors consist of: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Common pouch camouflage patterns include: forest, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Check out the example swatches in the product description for what they appear like:

Types of VooDoo Tactical MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are important to have on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft weapon rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty basic in style. They are one of the initial designs of pouches developed to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for included security that is generally fastened with Velcro. The flap could include a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch style. In addition to being available from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most affordable methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the standard mag pouches with a few modifications. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch style removes the flap leaving an open top to place and remove magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility a lot easier and reloads faster than before, this style of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE straps so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The VooDoo Tactical brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized bungee bands (depending upon producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard tug up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps securely hold the magazines so you do not need to worry about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
VooDoo Tactical MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in similar styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which can be found in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes several basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines very well with this long lasting Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most commonly used variations of pistol pouches. Many of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the very same style.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and handgun magazine. Two is typically much better than one. This pouch proves this to be correct considering that it saves you cash from having to buy two pouches. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all 6 independently (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines). Never ever buy pouches one at a time when you can get them grouped.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) create a spot for you to discard empty magazines and other gear into during gunfights. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for extra security while on the run with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and includes the equipment airsoft players require when they need to patch up a gash or injury on the field. A first aid kit must contain the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make room for carrying multitools, folded maps, pens, and other field supplies. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else generally. Think spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own specific pouch), and other gear you may require on the airsoft field or in a tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft teams use radios and communications equipment on the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
