About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The TRIWONDER Tactical MOLLE Holster Army Mobile Phone Belt Pouch EDC Security Pack Carry Accessory Kit Waist Bag Case Cellphone Holster is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE pouches have just recently ended up being popular in the last several years due to tactical developments and inventions. They are the top option for securing military style pouches to tactical gear, vests, deployment bags, and other types of field gear. MOLLE straps provide a flexible method for users to choose the mounting location and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE accessory panel location. The only restriction becomes which pouches to put to use and where to position them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are utilized in the MOLLE gear system. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out some of the best MOLLE pouches you can put on your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in many various colors and camouflage patterns.
About the TRIWONDER Brand
The TRIWONDER brand is pretty popular in the world of airsoft. They create good quality airsoft equipment and other gear. If you have concerns about their gear or customer inquiries, you can find more information on the brand’s site.
Types of TRIWONDER MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are essential to have on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty standard in style. They are among the original styles of pouches created to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for included security that is generally secured with Velcro. The flap could feature a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch design. In addition to being available from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most budget-friendly ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches resemble the basic mag pouches with a few enhancements. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch style gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to insert and extract magazines. This enables silent access and increased speed while accessing or swapping gun gear. These mag pouches can be found in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are developed into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine securely under pressure. In order to make mag accessibility simpler and reloads faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE attachments so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch elements are usually made from ABS construction.
The TRIWONDER brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag design use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized tension bands (depending on manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard tug up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps securely hold the magazines so you do not have to think about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
TRIWONDER MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which can be found in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines very well with this durable Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most typically used variations of handgun pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same design.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all six individually (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a clip retrieval pouches) make a space for you to discard empty mags and other things into rapidly. These tactical pouches are typically held in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty clips after reloads, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other equipment while in the battlefield. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for extra closure security while moving with a pouch that is full.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and contains the medical gear airsoft players require when they need to patch up a scrape or wound on the field. An emergency treatment kit needs to include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make room for holding a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, and other field gear. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else generally. You can carry things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own separate pouch), and other equipment you might need on the airsoft field or tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft units carry communications and radios equipment on the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
