About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The TRIWONDER Tactical MOLLE Water Bottle Pouch H2O Hydration Carrier, Military Bottle Holder Molle Drink Holder Travel Water Bottle Bag for Backpack Camping Outdoor is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE pouches have recently ended up being popular in the last several years due to tactical innovations and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top choice for securing military style pouches to equipment, airsoft vests, range bags, and other types of military equipment. MOLLE straps provide a unique method for users to pick the mounting location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location. The only restriction ends up being which pouches to use and where to position them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE means Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and refers to the pouches, panels, and straps which are applied in the MOLLE equipment system. Here are the 3 parts of the mounting system: MOLLE straps, pouches, and panels. Installing tactical pouches is simple and quick. Simply thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s have a look at some of the most functional MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft gear starting with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches are available in all colors and camo patterns. Typical pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Common pouch camouflage patterns include: forest, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Check out the example swatches below for what they appear like:
About the TRIWONDER Brand
The TRIWONDER brand is quite widely known among airsoft players. They produce really good quality airsoft pouches and other products. You can find answers on the brand’s website if you have questions about their airsoft gear or client service questions.
Types of TRIWONDER MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are also called ‘standard’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ because they are quite standard in design. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is normally fastened with Velcro. In addition to being offered from many tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most economical methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches resemble the basic mag pouches with a couple of adjustments. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch style removes the flap leaving an open top to insert and remove magazines. This enables quiet access and increased speed while reloading guns or accessing gear. These mag pouches can be found in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the newest and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access easier and reloads faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch uses MOLLE attachments so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The TRIWONDER brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag design use varying kinds of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized bungee bands (depending upon manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps firmly hold the magazines so you do not need to be concerned about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
TRIWONDER MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches come in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which come in the basic style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this long lasting Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most typically found variations of pistol pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the same design.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. Two is generally far better than one. This pouch shows this to be correct given that it saves you money from having to buy two pouches. For example, the expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all six independently (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines). Never buy pouches separately which you can get them together.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) make a space for you to discard empty magazines and other things into during gunfights. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for extra security while on the run with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and includes the medical gear airsoft players need when they need to patch up a scrape or injury on the field. A first aid pack must include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create a place for carrying multitools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field items. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else generally. You can carry things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own separate pouch), and other equipment you may require on the airsoft field or in a tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft groups talk on communications and radios equipment in the field. Adopting a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
