About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Tactical Tailor 10356-14 RRPS 4-Row Channel Tear Away Panel is a tactical pouch. Most tactical pouches connect with MOLLE snap straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE straps offer a versatile method for users to pick the mounting area and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and refers to the pouches, panels, and straps which are utilized in the MOLLE equipment system. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out some of the leading MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft gun magazine pouches.

Kinds Of Tactical Tailor MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are important to carry on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ because they are pretty basic in style. They are one of the initial designs of pouches designed to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is usually secured with Velcro. The flap might include a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch style. In addition to being available from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most budget friendly methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are comparable to the standard mag pouches with a couple of modifications. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch style eliminates the flap leaving an open top to place and remove magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility a lot easier and magazine swaps faster than ever, this design of tactical pouch uses MOLLE straps so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Tactical Tailor brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use varying kinds of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cords or rubberized tension bands (depending upon producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps safely hold the magazines so you don’t have to be concerned about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Tactical Tailor MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches can be found in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which are available in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines very well with this durable Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most commonly found versions of handgun pouches. A lot of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the same design. This includes companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch designs are exceptional quality, functional, and are duplicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. Two is typically better than one. This pouch shows this to be correct given that it saves you cash from needing to purchase a pair of pouches. For example, the cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over buying all six separately (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never ever buy pouches one at a time when you can get them together.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) create a space for you to ditch empty magazines and other things into rapidly. Some dump pouches even have drawstring closure tops for extra security while on the run with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and contains the equipment airsoft players need when they need to patch up a cut or wound on the field. An emergency treatment kit must contain the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make room for holding multitools, folded maps, pens, and other field gear. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else normally. Think of things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other gear you may need on the airsoft field or tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft units carry radios and communications devices on the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radio handsets like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
