MOLLE straps supply a versatile way for users to select the mounting area and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE attachment panel area.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE represents Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are used in the MOLLE gear system. Here are the three parts of the mounting system: MOLLE panels, pouches, and straps. Mounting tactical pouches is simple and fast. Just thread the straps and snap the buttons to set them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out some of the most efficient MOLLE pouches you can attach to your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft gun mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches are available in all colors and camo patterns. Common pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Kinds Of Tactic World MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are necessary to have on your gear for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft weapon rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty basic in design. They are among the initial designs of pouches created to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is usually secured with Velcro. The flap might feature a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch style. In addition to being available from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most inexpensive ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the basic mag pouches with a few modifications. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch style gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to place and extract magazines. This allows quiet access and increased speed while accessing or swapping weapon pouches. These mag pouches can be available in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most advanced kind of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are developed into the magazine pocket so that it holds the magazine firmly under pressure. In order to make mag access easier and reloads faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch uses MOLLE attachments so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch components are normally made of ABS construction.
The Tactic World brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag style use differing kinds of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized bungee bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps firmly hold the magazines so you do not have to be concerned about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Tactic World MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which come in the standard style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes several standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines effectively with this resilient Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most typically seen versions of pistol pouches. Most of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the very same style. This consists of manufacturers like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch designs are exceptional quality, functional, and are duplicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all six individually (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) make a spot for you to throw empty magazines and other gear into quickly. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for additional security while moving with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and includes the equipment airsoft players require when they need to patch up a scrape or wound on the field. An emergency treatment kit needs to include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create space for holding tools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field items. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else normally. Think extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own specific pouch), and other gear you might need on the airsoft field or in a tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft organizations put to use communications and radios equipment in the field. Adopting a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
