About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The TAC Force WebTac Modular Grenade Pouch Flap with Quick Release Buckle is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop design accessories. MOLLE pouches have just recently ended up being popular in the last few years due to tactical innovations and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top option for securing military design pouches to gear, tactical vests, range bags, and other types of field gear. MOLLE straps provide a unique method for users to select the mounting location and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel location. The only limitation becomes which pouches to employ and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE means Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and refers to the pouches, panels, and straps which are adopted in the MOLLE equipment system. Here are the three parts of the installing system: MOLLE panels, straps, and pouches. Installing tactical pouches is simple and fast. Just thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how the gear system works, let’s take a look at a few of the most functional MOLLE pouches you can put on your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft weapon mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of different colors and camo patterns.

Types of TAC Force MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are important to have on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft weapon rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty basic in style. They are one of the original styles of pouches created to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is generally secured with Velcro. The flap might feature a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch style. In addition to being available from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most affordable ways to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches resemble the standard mag pouches with a couple of alterations. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch style removes the flap leaving an open top to place and remove magazines. This allows quiet access and increased speed while reloading weapons or accessing pouches. These mag pouches can be found in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most sophisticated kind of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are built into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine securely under stretchy bungees. In order to make mag accessibility simpler and magazine changes faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE attachments so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch components are generally made from ABS construction.
The TAC Force brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use varying types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized stress bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps firmly hold the magazines so you do not need to think about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
TAC Force MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches are available in similar designs to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which are available in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most frequently used variations of handgun pouches. A lot of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same design.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch featuring both a rifle and handgun magazine. A pair of magazines are typically much better than one. This pouch proves this to be true because it saves you cash from needing to purchase a pair of pouches. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all 6 individually (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never ever buy pouches individually when you can get them as a group.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) make an area for you to ditch empty magazines and other gear into quickly. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for additional security while on the run with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK stands for individual first aid kit and consists of the equipment airsoft players need when they have to patch up a cut or injury on the field. A first aid pack must include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make a place for holding tools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field supplies. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else generally. You can carry things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own special pouch), and other gear you may need on the airsoft field or in a tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Many airsoft units manage radios and communications equipment in the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
