About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The Outdoor Sports Airsoft Gear Combat Assault Molle Vest Accessory Mag Pouch Magazine Bag Carrier Tactical Camouflage Chest Rig is a tactical pouch. MOLLE straps offer a versatile method for users to select the installation location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel location.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and refers to the pouches, panels, and straps which are adopted in the MOLLE equipment system. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s look at some of the top MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft gear starting with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in many different colors and camouflage patterns.
About the Sunnystacticalgear Brand
The Sunnystacticalgear brand is quite popular in the world of airsoft. They make excellent quality airsoft equipment and other gear. You can find information on the brand’s site if you have concerns about their airsoft gear or client service questions.
Kinds Of Sunnystacticalgear MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are essential to have on your gear for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are pretty basic in design. They are one of the original styles of pouches developed to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for included security that is usually secured with Velcro. The flap could include a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch design. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most inexpensive methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the standard mag pouches with a couple of alterations. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design removes the flap leaving an open top to insert and take out magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the newest and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility simpler and magazine reloads faster than before, this style of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE attachments so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Sunnystacticalgear brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized bungee bands (depending on producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps securely hold the magazines so you do not have to be concerned about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Sunnystacticalgear MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches are available in related designs to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which can be found in the basic style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines very well with this long lasting Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most commonly found variations of pistol pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same design. This includes manufacturers like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch styles are outstanding quality, usable, and are replicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and handgun magazine. A pair of mags are generally much better than one. This pouch shows this to be accurate since it saves you money from needing to buy two separate pouches. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all 6 independently (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines). Never ever purchase pouches individually when you can get them grouped.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a clip collection pouches) create a spot for you to throw empty magazines and other gear into quickly in the field. These tactical pouches are generally carried in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty clips after you reload your airsoft gun, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other tac gear while in the airsoft field. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for added closure security while moving with a pouch that is full.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and consists of the medical gear airsoft players require when they have to patch up a cut or injury on the field. A first aid kit should include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make room for holding multitools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field items. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else normally. You can carry things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own specific pouch), and other equipment you may need on the airsoft field or tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft teams manage radios and communications equipment in the field. Adopting a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radio handsets like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
