About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Protector Plus Tactical Messenger Bag Men Military MOLLE Tote Sling Shoulder Pack Tool Briefcase Assault Gear Handbags Case Outdoor Utility Carry Satchel (Patch Included) is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop design accessories. MOLLE pouches have recently become popular in the last several years due to tactical innovations and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top option for securing military design pouches to tactical gear, tactical vests, range bags, and other types of equipment. MOLLE straps offer a unique method for users to pick the mounting place and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE attachment panel area. The only restriction ends up being which pouches to adopt and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are employed in the MOLLE equipment system. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s look at some of the most effective MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft gear starting with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches are available in all colors and camo patterns. Typical pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Typical pouch camouflage patterns include: woodland, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. About the Protector Plus Brand
The Protector Plus brand is quite widely known among airsoft players. They make fairly good quality airsoft pouches and other gear. If you have questions about their gear or customer inquiries, you can find answers on the brand’s website.
Types of Protector Plus MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ since they are quite basic in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is normally secured with Velcro. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are resilient and one of the most affordable methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches resemble the standard mag pouches with a couple of enhancements. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch style removes the flap leaving an open top to put in and extract magazines. This enables quiet access and increased speed while reloading guns or accessing equipment. These mag pouches can come in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are built into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine securely under tension. In order to make mag accessibility easier and reloads faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE attachments so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch components are typically made of ABS construction.
The Protector Plus brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use differing kinds of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cords or rubberized stress bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard tug up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps safely hold the magazines so you don’t need to worry about losing the mag during quick movements, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Protector Plus MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in related designs to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which are available in the standard style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines very well with this durable Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most frequently found versions of pistol pouches. A lot of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same design.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch featuring both a rifle and handgun magazine. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all six separately (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) create an area for you to throw empty magazines and other things into quickly. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for extra security while on the run with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and includes the medical gear airsoft players need when they have to patch up a gash or injury on the field. An emergency treatment pack needs to contain the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create room for carrying a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, and other field gear. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else generally. You can carry things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you might need on the airsoft field or tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft groups talk on radios and communications equipment in the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
