About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The ProCase Tactical Admin Pouch, Versatile Molle Admin Pouch EDC Carry Bag Multi-Purpose Tool Holder for Magazine, Map and Other Small Tools -Black is a tactical pouch. The majority of tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE straps provide a flexible method for users to choose the mounting place and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are applied in the MOLLE equipment system. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s look at some of the top MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft equipment beginning with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of various colors and camouflage patterns.
About the ProCase Brand
The ProCase brand is quite widely known among airsoft players. They make decent quality airsoft equipment and other gear. You can find information on the brand’s website if you have questions about their airsoft pouches or customer service questions.
Types of ProCase MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are important to carry on your gear for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty standard in style. They are one of the initial styles of pouches designed to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for included security that is generally attached with Velcro. The flap could include a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch style. In addition to being offered from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most inexpensive ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are comparable to the basic mag pouches with a few modifications. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design removes the flap leaving an open top to insert and remove magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the newest and most sophisticated kind of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are built into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine tightly under tension. In order to make mag access easier and reloads faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE accessories so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch elements are generally made of ABS construction.
The ProCase brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag style use varying kinds of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized tension bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps firmly hold the magazines so you do not need to worry about losing the mag during fast movements, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
ProCase MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches are available in similar designs to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which are available in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few standard pistol pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most typically seen variations of handgun pouches. Many of the same manufacturers that make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the very same style. This includes companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch designs are exceptional quality, usable, and are replicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all six separately (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) create a spot for you to dump empty mags and other things into rapidly. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for extra security while moving on the run with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK is an acronym meaning individual first aid kit and consists of the medical gear airsoft players need when they have to patch up a gash or wound on the field. An emergency treatment kit should contain the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make a place for carrying a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, and other field gear. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else normally. You can carry things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own special pouch), and other gear you may require on the airsoft field or in a tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft units use radios and communications devices on the field. Adopting a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
