About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Waterproof Shotshell Holder Nylon Belt Case Ammo Gauge Adjustable Shotgun Rounds Shoulder Bandolier Hunting Accessories 12 16 Gauge is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches connect with MOLLE snap straps and hook-and-loop design accessories. MOLLE straps supply a flexible way for users to choose the installation place and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are put to use in the MOLLE gear system. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out some of the best MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in all colors and camo patterns. Typical pouch colors consist of: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Common pouch camouflage patterns consist of: woodland, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Take a look at the example swatches below for what they appear like:
About the OXYVAN Brand
The OXYVAN brand is pretty popular as a quality gear maker. They produce good quality airsoft pouches and other products. If you have questions about their gear or customer inquiries, you can find more information on the brand’s website.
Kinds Of OXYVAN MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are essential to carry on your gear for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty standard in style. They are among the initial designs of pouches developed to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is usually fastened with Velcro. The flap might feature a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch style. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most cost effective methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types resemble the basic mag pouches with a few adjustments. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch style removes the flap leaving an open top to place and remove magazines. This allows silent access and increased speed while reloading weapons or accessing equipment. These mag pouches can be available in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most innovative kind of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are constructed into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine tightly under tension. In order to make mag accessibility easier and reloads faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE accessories so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch components are generally made of ABS components.
The OXYVAN brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized bungee bands (depending on manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps firmly hold the magazines so you do not need to think about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
OXYVAN MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Handgun Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches are available in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which come in the standard style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes several basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this resilient Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most typically used variations of pistol pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the very same style.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. Two is usually better than one. This pouch shows this to be true because it saves you money from having to buy two separate pouches. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all six separately (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never buy pouches separately when you can get them grouped.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a mag collection pouches) create a space for you to place empty magazines and other gear into rapidly. These tactical pouches are generally carried in a rolled up position and secured by a button or strap. The pouch can be rapidly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty mags after reloads, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other tactical gear while on the field. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for extra closure security while moving with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK is an acronym meaning individual first aid kit and includes the equipment airsoft players need when they have to patch up a cut or injury on the field. An emergency treatment pack should include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make a place for carrying tools, folded maps, pens, and other field supplies. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else generally. You can carry things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other gear you may need on the airsoft field or in a tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Many airsoft groups employ radios and communications equipment on the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
